Sons of Eden is a partnership between winemaker Corey Ryan and viticulturist Simon Cowham who both learnt their trades in the vineyards and cellars of Eden Valley. Their labels Romulus and Remus come from the fable of the legendary founders of Ancient Rome. These twins were abandoned at birth and reared by a she-wolf. Romulus murdered his twin Remus in a fit of rage over the naming of Rome, the city which both had built. Legend presents Romulus (Barossa Valley) as the stronger, more powerful of the brothers, while Remus (Eden Valley) was more refined, focused and elegant.
Fruit was sourced from the Nuriootpa, Light Pass and Moppa sub regions of the Barossa Valley with vines aged 80 plus years old. Maturation took place in French oak hogsheads of which 45% were new for a period of 18 months.

Dense, concentrated and velvety, this is top line Barossa Shiraz at its seductive best.

Magnificent inky black core with a very deep dark red black hue. Wafting from the glass with great potency are seductive aromas of dark plum, blackberry and liquorice which marry into some vanillin oak, mocha, subtle earthy fennel and spice notes. Rich, powerful and opulently layered, lavish blackberry, dark plum and liquorice fruits saturate every corner of the weighty palate. Weaving their way across the back half are vanillin oak, mocha, subtle earth and spicy fennel elements. Dense and concentrated it has velvety tannins and an exceptionally long finish that exudes flamboyance.

Rich black fruits with an opulent yet chewy feel concluding long and juicy within a robust frame.

Valerie Chaume started Chaume-Arnaud when she was just 23 years old, renting 4.5 hectares of vineyards from her family. With her husband Philippe joining her in 1989, they expanded the cellar. Situated in the northern part of Cotes du Rhone villages, Vinsobres is one of the most northerly Crus in the Southern Rhone and sits at a high altitude of 400 to 450 meters, higher even than the highest vineyard in Gigondas.
The 2020 Vinsobres is made up of 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Cinsault, and 10% Mourvèdre. The fruit is mainly sourced from the high plateau and south-facing stony, limestone clay soil. Hand-picked fruit is de-stemmed, crushed, and fermented using only natural yeasts, with gentle elevage for three weeks after which it is matured in concrete tanks.
Deep dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Black raspberry and liquorice aromas rise from the glass followed by some black cherry, scorched earth, herbs du Provence and peppered meat notes. Rich black raspberry, liquorice and black cherry fruits engulf the mouth with infusions of herbs du Provence, scorched earth and pepper on the underside. Opulent yet chewy feel with a ripe sturdy tannin structure. Concludes long and juicy within a robust frame.

Great freshness, purity and definition on the nose, with a rising aerial impression. Smooth tannins and a velvety, approachable style, with a shining beam of acidity running through it to the long finish. This feels authentically Vinsobres. Vineyards on pebbly clay limestone slopes, grown at 250-420m. Hand-harvested, destemmed, fermented with indigenous yeasts then matured for 20 months in concrete. 15% Cinsault completes and leavens the blend.

Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils is one of the most respected names in Burgundy, yet despite their renown, it seems the market has not yet fully appreciated just how good the wines currently being produced are. They are the largest owner of Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards in Burgundy, this includes prized plots such as Montrachet, Chevalier Montrachet, Chambertin, Bonnes Mares, and Meursault Perrieres.
Founded in 1731, the subsequent nine generations of the Bouchard family has amassed an impressive 130ha of vineyards, including nearly 100 separate climats. It's perhaps this large size, contrasting the current trend for tiny producers with a cult following that has meant Bouchard are not front and centre in the minds of many Burgundy drinkers. A true shame as Bouchard are making some of the best wines in their history.

Deep black dark red heart with a dark red black tinged hue. Spicy dark to black cherry, ripe strawberry and anise aromas flood the nostrils followed by some earth, dried herb, cedar and subtle black olive aromas. Rich dark to black cherry and anise flavours are both powerful and structured in their flow across the palate. Spicy cedar, dried herb, earth and brambly black olive like elements lie underneath. Rigid tannins are somewhat concealed by the wines outstanding concentration. Finishes long, expansive and layered.

A blend of estate fruit planted in 1976, 1997 and 2004. 25% whole bunches and 20% new oak. A pleasing crimson red. The whole bunches announce themselves the moment you pick up the glass. Aromas of tea rose and bramble together with some spiced cherries and raspberries lead onto the moreish and flavourful palate. This also has the structure to see this become softer and more complex over the next 3–4 years.

From '75 and '98 plantings on the Springs Hill vineyard. The '24 Paralian suite, for me, is the finest to date. All killer, as they say … The quiet power in this is something to behold – a wine of gravitas and grace. It comes in a little darker of fruit this year, though not heavy with it. Dried olive, black cherry, violet, blueberry, ground coffee, a certain sultry floral and spicy feel, with an undercurrent of nori and iodine. This is a marvellous expression, with finely tooled tannins and exceptional length. Simply brilliant. Drink by 2038.

Gloriously decadent, voluptuously textured and explosive, this is pure seduction in a glass.

Produced from a blend of 98% Shiraz and 2% Viognier, Torbreck’s Run Rig is modelled on the Northern Rhone appellation of Cote Rotie’s wines. Fruit was sourced from the Lyndoch, Rowland Flat, Moppa, Ebenezer, Light Pass and Greenock districts of Barossa Valley with maturation taking place in a combination of new (50%) and older French barriques for a period of 30 months.

The 2022 RunRig had 2% Viognier added to the Syrah after barrel maturation, from the current vintage. I've clarified this with winemaker Ian Hongell, because my incorrect memory ran toward skins only. Glad I asked. Aromatically, the wine is so fresh and detailed; it hints at latent power and intense concentration, but it doesn't overbear on this point. On the palate, the wine has everything we could hope for—intense, balanced red fruit, a splay of ductile tannins and such a light fluffiness to the profile that I find it most appealing indeed. The discussion here today is regarding the comparison to the great 2021 vintage. It was a freak, out-of-the-box year that blessed producers with a spot-free growing season, good yields and excellent quality fruit. The wines, for the most part, will endure through the decades with grace and ease. The 2022s are tighter, fluffier, more fruit forward and, in my opinion, slightly more delicious, but over the long term, backing the 2021s to go the distance seems the blue-chip option. We can discuss this again in 20 years (2045) when that answer will have become more clear. In the words of Ferris Bueller, "Life moves pretty fast." I love this wine today. It's a superstar. 15.5% alcohol, sealed under natural cork and wax. Drink 2025-2042.

I guess you could call the RunRig a modern Barossa classic. 98/2% shiraz/viognier, it's an epic wine, a solid plinth of black and blues fruits deeply etched with exotic spice and earth. Hints of clove, star anise, Old Gold chocolate, licorice, pan juices, earth, dried meats, rose petals, black tea and graphite. Unctuous with great length of flavour and fine, silty tannins suffusing through the wine, it's a study in power and purity, light and shade and all that is great about ancient Barossa shiraz vines. Another great RunRig release. Drink by 2045.

Deep crimson. Intense dark plum, blackberry, liquorice, mocha/ espresso aromas with lifted star anise notes. Saturated dark plum, blackberry, apricot fruits, superb ultra-fine tannins and underlying roasted coffee/ espresso mocha notes. Finishes gravelly and long with persistent dark berry fruits/ cedar nuances. Exceptional balance and complexity. Should develop brilliantly well. Drink 2028–2046

    ABV: 14.5%

Note: Fill level into neck. Mild seepage under capsule. Actual product not pictured.

Grange is both Penfolds and arguably Australia’s most famous wine and is officially listed as a Heritage Icon of South Australia. The 2002 vintage is produced from a blend of 99% Shiraz and 1% Cabernet Sauvignon and was aged for 15 months in new American oak hogsheads.
A spectacular Grange – that needs decades to fully express itself. Totally opaque, black purple colour with black purple hue. Superb nose – perfumed with violet, spice top notes. The palate is structured in such a way as to slowly release its flavour compounds over many decades. Flavours of vanilla, spice and liquorice allsorts – followed by a black pepper back palate. Perfect balance. Very long aftertaste of spice and black pepper. A collectors Grange.
Cellar 15-20 years (2022-2027). Bottle number 74197 tasted.
    Alc/Vol: 14.5%

    Other Reviews....
Deep garnet with a touch of brick, the 2002 Grange is locked in a time capsule, like many of the 2002s, yielding a very youthful nose of red currants and red cherries, kirsch and violets with some lovely exotic spices in the background. Quite perfumed and pretty in terms of fruit expression in the mouth, the structure is rock solid, with a lively backbone cutting through the muscular fruit and great purity to the finish. If you're looking for that real "Grange" experience, best to keep cellaring it another 5-10+ years.

As hoped and expected; beautiful colour; a wonderful bouquet, with black fruits of various kinds the engine, oak in tow. Impeccable texture and balance in the mouth; again, a wonderful array of seamless blackberry, licorice and high-quality oak; destined to become recognised as one of the great Granges.

Dingle Celtic Series Conocht an Earraigh Single Malt Irish Whiskey (700ml)
    IRELAND
    $199. 99
    Bottle
    $2399.88 Dozen
    ABV: 50.5%

Part of Dingle's "Celtic Wheel of the Year" series. This one celebrates the spring equinox, known as "Cónocht an Earraigh" in Irish, and was aged in first-fill bourbon casks with a Cabernet Sauvignon finish. A lightish nose of vanilla, sweet beer and dried grass preludes an oily entry and a malty mid-palate, gingery heat and oaky grip kicking in early. Rebounds with more of the requisite sugars, while hinting at semi-ripe red berries; finally balanced, but the length is cut short. Triple distilled. 50.5% Alc./vol.

Other reviews... A very drinkable Dingle, quite laid-back. Getting a wine barrel finish really good is not that easy, and often - in my opinion - maturing in such a barrel does not necessarily give it more depth, but on the contrary ensures that the whiskey becomes lighter and more floating. Fortunately, this is not the case here; at most, it could be that the fruity notes are more emphasized in the nose than usual. - whiskybase.com

Notes from the producers... Anticipate aromas of ripe plums, blackberries, toasted almonds, and muscovado sugar, with flavours of rich red fruits, subtle spice, gingerbread and toffee.

    $1679.88 Dozen
    ABV: 50%

An antique Spanish Oloroso barrel has been used for full maturation here. The dry, oxidatively aged sherry results in a darker, richer, and nuttier wine compared to other sherries, bestowing some of that goodness to the final whisky. 50% Alc./Vol.

Notes from the producers... It's textured and mouth-coating with bold notes of dried fruits, plum jam, and sweet cherries in syrup. Mid-palate reveals deeper tones of bittersweet dark chocolate, espresso, and walnuts, all wrapped in velvety tannins from the oak. There’s a refined dryness that keeps the richness in balance, evoking old sherry bodegas and seasoned wood that’s smoother than a jazz sax solo.

    IRELAND
    $199. 99
    Bottle
    $2399.88 Dozen
    ABV: 50.5%

Matured in first-fill Bourbon casks followed by an extended finish in Tawny Port casks, this, the fifth release in the 'Celtic Wheel of the Year' series honours the ancient celebration of Grianstad an Gheimhridh, the winter solstice. Grianstad translates to ‘the stopping of the sun’ and the port finishing ties in with the label's theme, evoking the dark of night drawing in. Light, vaguely defined aromatics suggest dried grass, bread and faint beeswax, but compensate in a fuller, more oily and better defined mid palate presence; the creamy, biscuity malt fills out nicely, ending with hints of baked apple, cinnamon and white pepper. Appealing, even if complexity or persistence aren’t strong points. 50.5% Alc./Vol.

Notes from the producers... Nose: Ice cream soda, blackcurrant jelly, banana carmel, pomegranate, cinnamon toast and warm ginger. Taste: Red berry fruits, dark chocolate, warm cloves, creamy soft fudge. Finish: The spice mellow leaving a lingering sweetness on the tip of the tongue.

    $2399.88 Dozen
    ABV: 50.5%

A second limited edition from Dingle's "Wheel of the Year" series. This particular release is inspired by the Celtic festival of Lúnasa, which marks the beginning of the harvest season. At first sniff, there's introverted aromas of cream tea biscuits and light vanilla. Given five minutes and pure, poached orchard fruit notes grab your attention, repeated on the palate in a charming, well-rounded malt. Of the range tasted, this has the best body and mouthfeel - borderline buttery, supple and oiler through the middle stages with chewy oak and light oils before crisp orchard fruits and vanilla lead the finish. Give it time and you have one thoroughly delectable Irish. Triple distilled, matured in bourbon casks and finished in x-Widow Jane bourbon barrels. 50.5% Alc./Vol.

Notes from the producers... Nose: Ripe red berries, warm salted caramel, lemon sherbet and creamy butter fudge. Taste: Barley sugar with a pinch of spice and hints of dark chocolate with raspberries. Finish: Ginger and spice create a warm glow and slowly leaves dark fruits and caramel notes.

2023 Envinate Parcela Palo Blanco Las Molinas
    Tenerife, SPAIN
    $165. 00
    Bottle
    $1980.00 Dozen
    ABV: 11.5%
    Closure: Cork

Migan and Palo Blanco are both very old vine wines from the Valle de la Orotava zone, although they don’t bear the D.O. stamp. The old vines are trained in the Trezendo fashion: braiding new shoots over older ones until the vines begin to resemble old dreadlocks weaving over the landscape. The terrain is flatter than Táganan, more conducive to farming. 2023 Las Molinas is the second vintage of this single parcel wine from a centenarian plot of ungrafted, pre-phylloxera vines that had formerly been included in the Palo Blanco bottling. Fermented and aged in a single neutral oak foudre of 2500 liters.

    Other Reviews....
The second vintage of the 2023 Palo Blanco Las Molinas is quite similar to the regular Palo Blanco from the same year: saline, sharp and with great purity, precision and cleanliness. This matured in a Garbelotto 2,500-liter oak foudre. It has a moderate 11.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.01 and 7.48 grams of acidity. It's vibrant, full of energy and electricity, with effervescent freshness and volcanic minerality. This is very young but has the elements and the balance to age neatly in bottle. 2,500 bottles were filled in July 2024. Drink 2025-2035.

    Other Reviews....
Forty percent of the 2023 Migan comes from concrete (the part bottled as Chingao) and the rest from wines aged in 228-liter barrels. The blend seems more polished and elegant than the Chingao, which felt rawer. It's still powerful and concentrated but has very good balance and elegance—one of the finest Migan to date. I also tasted it next to the bottled 2022, and this has a deeper color. It should age well in bottle. There will be some 7,000 bottles that they plan to bottle in November 2024. Drink 2025-2032.

La Santa de Ursula is a new bottling from the northeast coast of Tenerife in an area called La Carujera, part of the Tacoronte-Acentejo appellation. It’s a blend of three parcels of 100+ year old vines planted on sandy clay over red basalt bedrock, situated between 350m and 650m above sea level. The blend is 48% Negramoll, 50% Listán Negro, and 2% Listán Blanco, which are vinified partially with whole clusters in cement and aged in small neutral oak barrels. Bottling is without fining or filtration, and only a small addition of sulfur.

    Other Reviews....
When I tasted the 2023 La Santa de Úrsula in late June, it had finished its élevage in oak and was in stainless steel waiting to be bottled at the end of July. They keep the wines in tank for a while before being bottled, but this is very representative of the final wine, as they adjusted the sulfur and everything. It's floral and aromatic, spicy, very elegant, balanced, fresh and approachable. It's a step up from the 2022. They expect to fill some 6,000 bottles. Drink 2025-2031.

Táganan is both the name of a village on the very north eastern tip of Tenerife and a local term for steep slope. Envínate make two reds and two whites from this village; Táganan Tinto and Blanco, which come from multiple old parcels and two crus, parcelas Campanario and Margalagua. All the wines are field blends containing a dizzying array of obscure local varieties grown on very old bush vines in the steep volcanic soils overlooking the ocean.

    Other Reviews....
The 2023 Táganan Tinto comes from a very good vintage in the zone of Taganana, a very complete year with enough rain and perfect textbook conditions. They picked the grapes from Taganana later than the ones from La Orotava. It fermented without temperature control with more maceration. It's a year of concentration, depth, elegance, freshness and finesse. The finest vintage for this bottling to date. I feel a lot less reduction here. 6,500 bottles produced. It was bottled in July 2024. Drink 2025-2032.

Lousas is the name Envintate has given to their wines from Ribeira Sacra, translating to slate and a nod to the rock that marks these wines. Each of their Lousas releases are predominantly Mencia, along with a smaller component of various indigenous varieties such as Merenzao, Caino, Garnacha Tintorerra, and Palomino among many others.

Vina de Aldea is a blend of several plots from the Amandi, Quiroga, and Ribeiras do Sil subregions of Ribeira Sacra. Doad meanwhile hails from different terroirs throughout the Galician town of Doade, is Mencia dominant with the remaining 15% a field blend of various varieties. Rosende is sourced from a single vineyard from a village of the same name, and the soils here are similar to the Northern Rhone with granite crystals flecked through the sand. Finally the single vinyard pair of Seoane and Camino Novo perched on the edge of the River Sil, each featuring vines over 80 years old. While similarly located these two are very different in style, Seoane being the more lifted, elegant and immediately attractive, whereas Camino Novo is more brooding and often one of the most profound Mencia in the area.

    Other Reviews....
The bottled 2023 Lousas Viñas de Aldea is perfumed, intoxicating and showy, with a floral note of dried rose petals that I also found in the Misturado from this same vintage. It's a blend of grapes, 80% Mencía and the rest a field blend of reds and whites, Brancellao, Merenzao, Alicante, Grao Negro, Mouratón, Jerez, Godello, etc., and zones, Amandi, Quiroga and Ribeiras del Sil with lots of gneiss and also slate and granite, depending on the plot. The grapes were picked between the first and 23rd of September, a very long harvest because of the rain. It fermented with 70% to 100% full clusters in concrete or plastic bins, and 30% of the volume remained in concrete and the rest matured in used barrels of different sizes, from 225 to 500 liters, for 11 months with lees and without racking. There's also a flinty smokiness that gives the wine a different twist. It's stunning and incredibly priced. There were 31,150 bottles and 329 magnums produced. It was bottled in November 2024. Drink 2025-2032.

The 2023 Lousas Seoane has an intoxicating floral nose and seems to close in the glass. It's very young and tender, perfumed and primary. I think the field blend of red and white varieties brings nuance, perfume and detail (and possibly freshness too). It has pungent flavors and doesn't lack ripeness at 13.55% alcohol; this is the ripest of the single vineyards, a south/southwest-acing slope harvested the sixth of September. Like the rest of the single-vineyard wines, it was vinified with full clusters and indigenous yeasts, foot trodden in plastic bins, pressed with a vertical press and matured in neutral 228-, 400- and 500-liter barrels, including malolactic and without any added sulfur until bottling. This beauty is pure perfume. 1,960 bottles produced. It was bottled in November 2024. Drink 2025-2033.

Curly Flat, nestled in the Macedon Ranges at 540 metres altitude, is renowned for producing exceptional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from its 14.5-hectare vineyard. Established in 1989 and now solely owned by Jenifer Kolkka, the estate is committed to expressing its unique volcanic soils, cool climate and diverse clones through meticulous winemaking. With naturally high acidity and elegant structure, Curly Flat’s wines consistently showcase purity, precision and a strong sense of place.

The 2023 season in Macedon Ranges was marked by a cool start, with the coldest spring on record slowing vine growth before a warm, rain-boosted January gave vineyards renewed vigour. February’s dry conditions encouraged flavour concentration, while a cool April ensured harvest at ideal ripeness. The result was fruit of precision and freshness, with lifted aromatics, vibrant acidity, and finely etched structure. This Estate Pinot Noir reflects eleven separate vineyard parcels, each handled to highlight their unique clonal and soil characters. Indigenous yeast ferments, varying levels of whole bunch, and selective oak use combine to create a wine of depth and complexity. Fragrant red fruits, darker savoury notes, and vineyard-driven tannins are seamlessly integrated. After 16 months’ maturation in French oak (20% new), the final blend was bottled unfined and unfiltered, offering clarity and site expression.

Curly Flat Pinot Noir can be a bit surly in its youth and this release is of that ilk. It’s not a flashy pinot noir, let’s say. It tastes of cherries red and black with stringy herb and stewed strawberry notes. It’s firm through the finish and for now, takes a lot of coaxing to relax and extend. There’s a meatiness to this release, not overt but there. It’s a solid release for now but in time could well push higher. Drink 2027 - 2034+.

The oak feels heavy at the moment but it should balance up in time. Cedar, pine, woodsmoke and grilled peach characters gradually move into pear and nectarine territory. The producer lives up to its reputation as a quality Chardonnay maker with another cool climate lovely from a cool vintage. Youthful yellow with green tinges. The scent of stone fruits is quite intense with nectarine and white peach joined by melon and citrus with some added complex notes from almond meal, nougat. There is quite a luscious quality to this wine with a number of clones in play, each bringing their own qualities – clones are P58 (aka, the old Penfolds clone noted for its citrus) and Dijon clones V3 and V5. Generous citrus and stone fruit flavours come with depth and an added note of sea spray-saline, finishing with light spice and ginger notes. Shows good attention to detail. Drink 2025 - 2033.

    "...a complex rollercoaster of a whisky." - whiskyadvocate.com

In Kilchoman’s 20th anniversary year, a second celebratory special edition sees the first Loch Gorm with an age statement. As is typical for the label, the whisky comes matured entirely in former oloroso sherry casks from the José Miguel Martin bodega. Twenty-three casks divided between twenty first-fill and three second-fill were bottled at the end of March 2025. “Loch Gorm, in my opinion, is reaching it’s perfect age" adds Anthony Wills, the distillery's founder, "10 years maturation in sherry casks has added an abundance of rich spices, dark fruit and barbecue sweetness to the light citrus and peaty character of Kilchoman, balancing those rich sherry notes with our classic Islay spirit." 46% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.

Other reviews... Matured in first-fill and refill oloroso sherry butts from two distillation years, this first 10 year old Loch Gorm is a complex rollercoaster of a whisky. Smoked orange peel, blueberry, and brisket bark aromas, with overtures of sweet smoke and peppermint tea. Chocolate orange, cocoa, raspberry sauce, clove, pepper, and chile flakes spin off into lemon curd, vanilla, and candied orange, and finish with cinnamon, smoke, and sweet dried fruits. 93 points - whiskyadvocate.com

...I am used to Kilchoman being very lively, almost harsh at time, but this is farmy smoothness, full of dark and brooding notes of coffee and cacao and the flintiest hints of fruit. Dark colour fruit, dades, plums... In short, this is amazing stuff. I am trying to think of something similar to this Kilchoman Loch Gorm 10 years old, but the only thing that comes to mind is the Longrow 14 years old, that has a similar farmy vibe to it. This Loch Gorm is very unique to Islay, with almost none of the maritime signature you will find in other producers on the island. This is Islay’s farm distillery, and it shows off with this expression. Well done!  - longpouramour.com

A Heathcote shiraz in serious, intellectual mode delves beyond the obvious to reveal an inherent complexity and velvet-like density, all within the most elegant of shapes. Red fruits, blackberries, bracken, earth, abundant woody spices and fine tannins build layer upon layer. Brings the region's top red grape into full, glorious perspective. Deserves your attention. Rich yet texturally refined with a fresh feel to the long, elegantly creamed finish.

Todd Dexter is probably best known for his work alongside Brian Stonier at Stonier wines where during his 10 year stint as chief winemaker the brand was propelled into Mornington Peninsula’s most famous label. Todd and his wife Debbie purchased a vineyard site in 1987 where they planted their first 1.6 hectares of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir but it wasn’t until the mid 2000’s that the first wine was released under the Dexter label.
Fermented and matured in 500 litre French oak puncheons (20% New, 30% second use, 50% older) with 50% of the blend undergoing malolactic fermentation. Brilliant pale straw colour with subtle highlights of green around the edges and a watery hue. Elevated white peach and nectarine scents complimented by some dried honey, cashew, biscuity nougat and spice notes drift through the nostrils. Rich yet texturally refined, the mid weighted palate is layered with fleshy white peach, nectarine and cashew flavours. Traces of dried honey, biscuity nougat and spice lie underneath. Brisk acidity lending a fresh feel to the long, elegantly creamed finish.

This year celebrates the 10th vintage of the Marble Angel, a single-vineyard cabernet sauvignon from Light Pass in the Barossa Valley. It's a graceful, fruit-pure release. All perfectly ripened blackberry, black cherry and blackcurrant fruits with an array of fine spice, crème de cassis, tobacco pouch, softly spoken cedar tones, cold tea, licorice and earth. There is a chocolatey edge to the tannins this year as they melt in the mouth, the cassis-rich fruit flowing nicely on the extended finish. Drink by 2038.

A wine of brightness and purity with precise varietal definition. Perfumed notes of blackcurrant and blackberry mingle with a little cherry and dark chocolate. The palate is exquisitely structured and presented. Only 10% new French oak and the rest seasoned where it spent 20 months. Seamlessly integrated palate delivered with poise and effortless, graceful lines. One of the best. Drink 2025-2045.

Concentrated and powerful yet tightly wound with a long zingy finish.

Since it’s establishment in 2009, winemaker John Hughes has in a very short period of time established RieslingFreak as one of the country's preeminent producers of the variety. Wine critic Mike Bennie describing it as ‘the definitive Riesling project in Australia.’ The 2025 vintage was one of meagre yields due to frost and lack of rainfall, however, the quality was remarkable delivering wines with terrific intensity of flavour and electric acidity.
