2023 Haan Estate Shiraz

Plush with rich blue to black fruit and a relatively refined finish.

Matured in a combination of new and old French oak barrels. Impenetrable inky black in colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Generous aromas of liquorice and dark plum sail through the nostrils followed by some gentle smoky vanillin cedar, fennel and peppered earth notes. Rich dark plum, liquorice and ripe blueberry fruits carry a plush feel across the medium to full bodied palate. Smoky fennel, vanillin cedar and peppered earth elements sit in the background. Polished tannins with a well fleshed yet relatively refined finish of good length.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
