Back in 2019, Boatrocker distilled their flagship Alpha Queen American-hopped Pale Ale. After seven years in a first-fill Buffalo Trace cask, it was bottled at high strength to preserve the vibrant aromatics. The delightful fruity, hoppy pick-up on the nose carries through to the palate. You can almost sense the fizziness and bitter fruitiness of the pale ale through the piney finish, while the Bourbon barrel adds a light vanilla creaminess. No gimmick. Notes from the producers... On the nose: heady honeysuckle and ripe gooseberry with citrus zest and fresh green hops.  The palate is silky and balanced, waves of stone fruit and floral sweetness followed by a gentle peppery spice and herbal hop lift.  The finish brings classic whisky warmth with that bright, lingering hop bite beer lovers will adore. Perfect neat, with a large cube of ice, or in a premium cocktail.
