2024 Whistling Eagle Vineyard GSM
A rich, juicy textured GSM with velvet smooth tannins and a long succulent finish.
Midnight black dark red core with a deep dark red hue. Pronounced aromas of dark raspberry, liquorice and dark plum intermingle with some vanillin confectionary and subtle peppered earth notes. The rich, juicy textured palate is awash with dark raspberry, liquorice and ripe plum fruits. Scorched earth, vanillin confectionary and pepper elements lie underneath. Velvet smooth tannins with a long succulent finish.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
Alc. 14.5%
Other Reviews….
50/45/5% grenache/shiraz/malbec. Talk about spice – this Heathcote GSM has it in sweet abundance. Picked ripe, it's a generous all rounder in dark plum, black cherry, black fruits, licorice, chocolate, toasted spices and a warm earthiness. A strong blackstrap licorice feature comes together on the palate with a light, sweet pastille confection note that runs long. Chockfull of flavour, smooth in texture, fleshy in tannins; it's ready for its moment to shine. Drink by 2029.
