A blend of 70% Nero d’Avola, 25% Frappato and 5% Moscato, the 2024 Rosato continues to bridge the gap between serious structure and easy drinkability. Rich and generous yet elegant and fresh, this superb example of Mendoza Malbec is brimming with red and blue fruit.
Catena’s Angelica Zapata Malbec is named as a tribute to Nicolas Catena Zapata’s mother and family matriarch, Angelica Zapata. Sourced from two high altitude vineyards, it’s matured for a period of between 18-24 months in Frenck oak barrels, 70% of which are new.
Midnight black heart with a vibrant dark red hue. A fragrant mix of blueberry, red currant, red liquorice and violet scents blossom out of the glass complimented by some dark cherry, earth, dried herb and spice notes. Rich and generous yet elegant and fresh, the mid weighted palate is brimming with red currant, blueberry, dark cherry and red liquorice fruits. Very fine grained tannins with infusions of fresh herbs, delicate earthy dark chocolate and spicy cedar elements lying underneath. Concludes with a refined, cool toned feel to the long red and blue fruited finish.

Terrifically concentrated and texturally voluminous yet tense and dry with an exceptionally long zesty finish.
From a single vineyard planted in 1975. Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Aromas of lime, citrus and orange rind flood the nostrils followed by some chalky talc, green apple and slatey mineral notes. The mouth watering palate is bristling with lime, citrus and orange rind fruits which are both terrifically concentrated and texturally voluminous. Chalky talc, wet steel and flinty mineral elements express themselves across the back half. Tense and dry it has a spine of crisp, laser edged acidity which leans into the long zesty finish that shows exceptional drive.

Although now a single malt with its own brand, the majority of the whisky made at Balblair still goes towards the Blended Scotch industry. Clear worts, long fermentation in wooden washbacks, and distillation in small, stumpy stills produces a richly fruity new make character alongside a sulphury/meaty note. The outturn for this indie release was 350 bottles from a first-fill bourbon barrel. The label features a character from Boutique-y's original Balblair label that took inspiration from the film 'The Angel's Share', which was shot at the distillery. 45.8% Alc./Vol.
Other reviews... Overall, a very nice whisky. Definitely on the ripe, fruity side and very pleasing. This one has a fruit basket from the garden, with the fruit already fallen from the tree and the bees feasting on it. You won't find much more, but it's perfectly adequate and enriches my whisky heaven greatly. A few percent more would suit it well. The nose is its great strength. Matured in American oak for 16 years, this single cask release had an outturn of 175 bottles at 46.1% Alc./Vol. These bottlings show the consistency of house character when matured in a controlled, familiar cask type, typically offering notes of vanilla, stone fruit and soft oak spice. Non chill filtered.
From early bottlings that were sometimes awkward and experimental, Sullivan’s Cove has emerged as one of the top whisky producers in the Southern hemisphere. Founded in 1994, Patrick Macguire joined the company five years later as Head Distiller, spearheading a new bottle design and refining the portfolio. By 2007, the distillery gained international recognition with their American Oak winning Liquid Gold (95/100) in Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible. Even greater praise was to follow, with the title of World’s Best Single Malt at the prestigious World Whiskies Awards in London in 2014. In 2016 the distilllery was sold, but the core range has persisted (American Oak, French Oak and Double Cask. For collectors, a special single cask range includes older age statements and cask strength expressions). Thirty years on, Sullivans Cove's output is better than ever, affirmed by a meticulous new distillery and significantly bigger production to meet global demand. The majority of the whiskies are aged in either 300L French oak ex-tawny barrels or 200L American oak ex-bourbon barrels and generally bottled between 6 and 9 years.

Blended malts from Campbeltown are trending. The style and quality of the distillates means they're invariably very tasty drams (Springbank's own Campbeltown Loch is a case in point). Adorned with the ominous spectacle of a meteor strike on its label, this edition was bottled for the End of the World series by the reputable indie, That Boutique-y Whisky Company. 454 bottles were drawn from a first-fill bourbon barrel at 52.3% Alc./Vol.
Other reviews... The first nose is a smooth pleasant bourbon. More like Lowland than Campbelltown. Grass, hay, lemon, a little lime honey. The more one breathes, the more alcohol spices. Breathing in a bit of cork + cellar dampness + oak. The taste is sweet, very drinkable hay-grass, The finish is medium - short. It's surprising for this strength. Although there is wax in the taste on the back of the tongue, rounded by oak. Quite a nice blend, but definitely not Campbelltown style. - whiskybase.com
Notes from the bottlers... Nose: Crisp apple and biscuity malt cushion soft waves of oily, coastal smoke. Preserved lemon and black pepper follow, with hints of floral garden herbs. Palate: Big rich layers of roasted barley and toasted oats join cider apples and subtly tarry smoke. Finish: Charred oak, barky cinnamon, a touch of clove, stewed tea, and dried herbs.

Other reviews... Taste is bready, salty and a bit hot (but not annoyingly so), with gentle subtle notes of salty lime. Salted crust sourdough. That quite literal barley huskiness reminds me of The Glenlivet. Faint orangey note. Just hinting at starting to pick up some complexity. It’s a decent whisky. A couple more years and some good casks and we’d have a solid Speyside whisky on our hands. Very promising. - whiskybase.com
Notes from the bottlers... Nose: Roasted malt, soft stone fruits, and overripe orchard fruits open the way for trickles of honey, lemon and lime marmalade, and peppercorns. Palate: The zesty citrus from the nose carries through, joined by prunes, salted papaya, and toasted coconut, with waves of creamy oaken vanilla throughout. Finish: Toasted oak, vanilla, a smidge of dried chilli flake heat.

Brilliant water like core with greenish tinged edges. Ripe pear, Jonathan apple and honeysuckle aromas flood the nostrils followed by hints of musk, Turkish delight and ginger. Rich, luscious pear, red apple and honeysuckle flavours carry a viscous feel across the palate. Subtle musk, Turkish delight and spice elements lie underneath. Off dry it has a lick of brisk acidity to freshen things up. Finishes long, exotic and juicy.

Ben Riggs sourced the fruit for this excellent Cabernet Sauvignon from one of Coonawarra’s top growers - Michael Wetherall’s, Wetherall Estate. From two premium vineyards on the estate that are a combination of terra rossa and sandy loam soils, the sites are located at the northern end of the region and are traditionally some of the earlier ripening blocks that deliver lower yields but excellent concentration. Picked on different days and from different blocks to allow for optimum ripening and multiple blending options, parcels of fruit for this Cabernet were separately fermented in 5 tonne open fermenters. On skin fermentation was completed before pressings were sent to barrel to complete fermentation in a 30% new French and 5% American oak combination.
A beautifully balanced Coonawarra Cabernet that’s deeply concentrated and amply fleshed yet wonderfully refined.
Dense midnight black core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Sailing out of the glass with plenty of intensity are enticing blackcurrant, mulberry and choc mint aromas which intermingle with vanillin cedar, tobacco and spicy dried herb notes. Rich blackcurrant, liquorice and mulberry fruits caress the mid weighted palate with ample flesh and concentration. Lending further interest are notions of spicy vanillin cedar, earthy tobacco and infusions of bay leaf. Beautifully balanced and structured it has fine grained tannins and a finish that’s long and deep yet refined.

A classic regional statement here, again sourcing the variety from outside Riggs’s home base – and unsurprisingly Coonawarra, showcasing its best-known features. Starts with a fragrant crush of black berries, bay leaf and mint providing their herbal aromatics, before easing into the palate with a certain grace and elegance, juicy, superfine tannin feels with just a delicate grab to finish, oak supportive and balanced – impressive given a decent amount is new French. Winner winner lamb shank dinner.

So, for this release, 'B' stands for the 2nd batch in an annual A, B, C line. The 5 denotes the release month (May) while the 23 represents the year of release (Australian allocations always take longer than usual to arrive). The whiskey was aged 11 years and 5 months before bottling at 62.1% Alc./Vol.
Other reviews... fresher than its years...Quite waxy in part with tannins building almost surreptitously . The sweetened vanillas are pretty full on; light coffee/mocha trace; though that coffee is a bit heavy on the high roast bitternesss late on. An elegant bourbon which reveals its age in ocassional fits and starts. The journey ends here for those looking for a big vanilla bourbon. 91 points - Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2024

Named after the company’s 1100-acre farm that surrounds the distillery, Star Hill Farm marks a shift in focus for the brand, being Maker’s first ever wheat whiskey, composed of 51% Soft Red Winter Wheat, 27% Malted Soft Red Winter Wheat and 22% Malted Barley. Zero corn is used. There's no age statement, however the label indicates it was distilled around 7-8 years ago, so expect something within that range. It's also high-proof and priced as an artisan product. Eric Hasman at breakingbourbon.com got a chance to taste the new premium release, summing up his thoughts as follows: "While it shares some similarities with the standard Maker’s Mark Bourbon, it is also refreshingly adventurous and contemporary... The majority of the sip is an invigorating change of pace, offering robust flavors, but using so much wheat in its mashbill has its drawbacks. That is evident in the whiskey’s finish, which features much more astringent oak than desired despite including so much malted wheat grain in its mashbill. Though it hampers what is otherwise a great pour, it’s not detrimental to the point of derailing the whole sip." 57.4% Alc./Vol.
Other reviews... Maker’s newest annual release blends wheat whiskey made from a mash of 70% wheat and 30% malted barley with 100% malted wheat whiskey, creating a fruity, rustic, and peppery pour. On the nose there’s brown sugar, chocolate chip cookies, lemon- ade, and a campfire-like hint of burnt wood. The palate is fruitier, with fruit tarts and bright citrus. "A very nice endeavor by Maker’s! Sweet, floral, rich and nuanced. There’s a bitter, tannic side to the pour that works in tandem with the sweetness to spectacular effect at times but at other moments takes a bit too much focus off the sweet, rich notes. The tannic profile adds some complexity; I just wish it were dialed down a notch or two — minor complaint about an altogether spectacular whiskey. "One of the greatest achievements in Australian winemaking and distilling." - Luke McCarthy
At the time of writing, this is the oldest Australian spirit ever released, the majority distilled between 1970 and 1972 from Doradillo, Pedro Ximenez, Palomino and sultana grapes. Aromatics match the age statement; profound and superbly integrated, laden with rancio, buttered date cake, traces of old muscat, fig paste and fruit'n'nut dark chocolate with no loss of intensity after ample air contact. At five decades, the spirit warmth remains surprisingly present; It's brandy, no question, yet like its 30-year-old sibling, the profile draws comparison with high-end sherried single malt - it could be a single cask Glendronach or Macallan, for example, out of PX - especially at the finish where sticky date is more salient, checked by hints of orange zest. Pulsing persistence confirms this is seriously old material, and the complex fruit and nut interplay has to compete with some venerable oak. Sweet spices slowly retreat, leaving a glaze of rancio and ancient fortified wine through the aftertaste. Exceptional, and a brandy for lovers of single malt or Armagnac, more so than Cognac. 46% Alc./Vol. 50ml sample.
Other reviews... The mahogany colour indicates plenty of oak, which pays off on the nose – this is far woodier than the younger releases. Forest floor and an attic full of antique furniture creep out of the glass, and perhaps monsters lurk here. Please don't approach unless you like oak. But there’s Cherry Ripe, too, and that St Agnes creaminess I love. On the palate, it turns out the monster wants to hug you. Sure, it smells of sandalwood and leaf litter, but it’s a soft hug nonetheless, and the tannin on the finish is incredibly creamy, like an excellent cup of black tea rather than a dusty old bit of wood. Notes from the producers... The mahogany colour hints at the flavour in the glass. It smells of decades old tawny, Persian dates, marmalade and snow-white pebbles. It smells of old oiled cricket bats, rocky road chocolate and rose water. It fans out like a peacock’s tail on the palate. Viscous and luscious, bitter candied orange and caramelised apricot. It’s like inhaling the Barrel Halls, as the nutty rancio characters emerge and it just doesn’t stop, as hints of leather, cardamon, prunes and spice-rack linger. There’s light and shade, bright corners and dark corners. It’s hard not to get carried away when tasting an aged spirit with this level of depth and heritage. The kind of spirit that gives you goosebumps and makes the hairs on your neck stand up. One of the greatest achievements in Australian winemaking and distilling. - Luke McCarthy

St. Agnes XO Centenary Reserve Cask Strength Single Cask 30 Year Old Brandy (700ml)

St.Agnes debuted this line several years ago, marking their first single cask release in over a century. Distilled from a Doradillo base wine, the bouquet is decadent, thick with oaky vanillas, cafe cremes, salted caramel chocolate, sticky date pudding and Rare Port, all sprinkled with cinnamon. At natural strength, it fulfils expectations; the flavour drive is impressive, the profile repeating the promise of the nose with an initial burst of juicy spiced-raisins, dried figs and apricots, tempered by tingling acidity and sweet oak. The tannins are fine-grained, the alcohol warms the heart and the overall balance near perfect. It's the beast of the collection, and arguably the most 'brandy-like', but the similarities to cask strength sherried single malts are also undeniable. Malt lovers take note! 50.5% Alc./Vol. 1995 distillation tasted.
Other reviews... At 55% alcohol, the Centenary Reserve has a lot more punch than St Agnes’ other brandies. Still, they’ve chosen less active casks here as the orange peel sweetness is far more apparent than oak on the nose, which is super cool for a spirit so old, especially when so many Aussie spirits are over-oaked at a 10th of this age. Whisky makers take note! The alcohol does present a bit of a barrier to nuance on the nose, but there’s still toasted almond and mint ice cream to be found. The entry on the palate is incredible, with big, warm, marmalade sweetness. Where the high alcohol hides some things on the nose, it explodes them across the tongue. This is my favourite palate of any St Agnes I’ve tried. The finish is still gentle with that hallmark St Agnes creaminess, and the fact that they can bottle at 55% without any burn is awe-inspiring. Notes from the producers... , it’s instantly floral and fruity, with a bright freshness that’s hard to believe considering the age. Highly concentrated and fragrant, with poached pear, dried fig and crushed mint leaves. Delicious as it progresses, creamy and moreish, with a slightly leathery, linseed character. Minimal wood extraction allowing the distillate to shine. As complex and refined as Australian brandy gets, and what an invocation of the doradillo grape where it all started in 1925.

Sangiovese was pioneered in Australia by Coriole with the first vineyards planted in 1985. It provided a contrasting style to shiraz - the great tradition of McLaren Vale - and has proven to be ideally suited to the warm maritime climate of the region.
Red to dark red colour with black shaded edges and a vibrant red hue. Intense dark cherry and ripe red currant aromas jump out of the glass followed by some dried herb, earth and spicy tobacco notes. Juicy red currant and ripe cherry fruits flood the mid weighted palate overlaying a red liquorice, dried herb, earth and spicy tobacco back drop. Excellent fruit intensity and flesh with slightly chalky tannins and bright acidity. Long, generously fruited, spice laden finish.

Such a reliable performer. I probably say something similar most years. Sometimes the well of inspiration runs dry when it comes to my introductions. Bright, crunchy, energetic sort of wine. Red cherry, raspberry, iron filings, some dried herb and almond. It’s medium-bodied, has a light grainy grip to tannin, good varietal flavour, and a lively finish of excellent length. Good stuff. 'The Irishman' is a brand from the same company behind the award winning 'Writer's Tears' Irish whiskeys. This is a triple-distilled expression aged in a combination of bourbon and oloroso sherry casks for a minimum of ten years. An attractive spicy fruit-cake integration into what is otherwise, a typical pot still profile. Air contact draws out a spirity, brittle edge to the malt. Third pass finds the intensity drop, revealing light orchard fruits, vanilla cream biscuits and slight caramel. Light-weighted, but the oils add body to what is a distinctive Irish: Sherried-vanilla meets a chocolate box of fruity cocoa in the aftertaste. Each bottling is a combination of triple distilled whiskey matured in oloroso sherry and bourbon casks. The nose is bright with vanilla icing, butterscotch, and dried peach. The taste is quite active, with honey, cinnamon, gingerbread, ground almond, and dark chocolate. Gembrook Hill is a treasure of Australian wine and here, in the glass, we open the trove and its riches are as evident as ever. This release is a beautiful example of what Gembrook Hill does so well: it’s a bit murky, a bit light, a lot composed and a lot persistent. It tastes of undergrowth, strawberries, red cherries and sweet spice, with whispers of mint and cedar as top notes. Tannin is fine-grained and well formed and the aforementioned persistence is of special note. This is an excellent release of Gembrook Hill Pinot Noir. Drink 2026-2033+.

Delicate perfumes introduce a wine of presence. This release is as good as it always is. Lemon oil, lemongrass, nashi pear, woodsmoke, gravel and whispers of both passionfruit and snow peas. The nose on this wine is exquisite; the palate is perfectly composed. There’s just-enough texture and good carry through the finish. This release had me at hello but every step thereafter it sealed the deal. Drink 2026-2031+.

Smoke, red cherries, fragrant herbs, undergrowth and graphite. The tension in this wine is electric; the finish is authoritative; the complexity is inherent and from the first sip to the last you are fully aware that you are in the hands of beauty. En Auvonnes is found on the lower part of the slope, closer to the D974 on the border of Marsannay and Couchey. Pataille works with 0.10-hectare of beautiful Aligoté Doré planted by his grandfather, Armand, in the 1930s. Pépé is shorthand for grandfather in French.

A classic aligoté nose reflects equal amounts of citrus character on the Granny Smith apple, spice and suggestions of floral wisps. The succulent, round and very punchy medium-bodied flavors brim with sappy dry extract as well as minerality that seems to build on the youthfully austere bitter lemon-tinged finale. This is superb and absolutely worth your interest if you like aligoté. Drink through 2028+.

The palate is well-balanced with a crisp bead of acidity. It is lightly spiced, but what makes this wine is the lip-smacking salinity on the finish. Very more-ish. Drink 2025-2034.

Described by Rajat Parr as one of the best Bourgogne Rouge in Burgundy, Pataille's first red is a blend of parcels in Marsannay and the Haute Côtes, covering just over one hectare in total. Again, there are plenty of old vines in the mix, including one parcel planted in 1956. Each parcel is vinified separately before blending, with a variety of maceration styles involved. The final blend usually includes approximately 30% whole bunches. Aging is in barrel for one year and the wine is not touched by sulphur until bottling.

The final blend includes around 80% whole bunches.

Initially, it is a little timid, but it opens nicely with aeration, bringing flinty black fruit with the 80% whole bunches imparting a light pepperiness. Alongside Longeroies and Champ Perdix, the Clos du Roy is one of Marsannay’s largest and most revered vineyards. Some consider it the appellation’s finest terroir, which makes sense when you consider the name: Roy is the ancient French spelling of roi, meaning king. It’s a steep, east-facing slope above the village of Chenôve, on the same line as the Gevrey Premiers Crus to the south. It has lightish red soil, including some sand, over a bed of Comblanchien limestone. When Marsannay finally gets its first Premier Cru (expected 2024), Clos du Roy will likely be at the front of the queue.
Pataille farms a serious 2.25 hectares in the clos, from vines planted in 1952, 1965, 1978 and 2001. As for the winemaking, ‘the king’s vineyard’ gets the royal treatment in the cellar, with 18 months in barrel and six months in tank before being bottled unfiltered. It ferments almost entirely as whole bunches.

The Marsannay Clos du Roy from Pataille is consistently among the top wines of the northern Côte de Nuits. The 2022 features soulful, super-ripe cassis and bramble fruit aromas with a savoury, smoky edge. The texture is dense and concentrated, with abundant tannin and enough freshness to drive this to an impressively long finish. The grapes are from Pataille's parcel of more than two hectares of mature vines planted in this south-east facing site's limestone pebbles and clay soil. It is slightly closed at present, but it should open in three to five years and drink well for at least another 20 years after that. Drink 2030-2070.

Once again there is a highly attractive floral quality to the softly spicy if distinctly earthy nose that features mostly notes of dark currant and exotic tea. There is good underlying tension to the well-detailed medium weight flavors that are shaped by relatively fine-grained tannins on the chiseled and sneaky long finish that is akin to rolling tiny pebbles around in the mouth. This decidedly firm effort is an excellent example of the vineyard though one that will need all of a decade to arrive at its apogee. Drink through 2032+.

Established in 1980 by Jean-Marc Blain and Claudine Gagnard, Domaine Blain-Gagnard has quickly become one of the benchmarks of Chassagne-Montrachet. The domaine owns just over 8 hectares of vines, with enviable holdings in some of the village’s most renowned premier crus and three grands crus. Winemaking is firmly traditional, favouring minimal intervention, modest use of new oak, and a style that emphasises clarity and precision. These are wines prized for their balance and transparency to site.
One of the most highly regarded sites in Chassagne, Caillerets lies on the mid-slope with thin, stony soils that deliver wines of notable finesse and tension. Blain-Gagnard's example is consistently elegant, chiselled, and long-lived.

A more elegant nose is comprised by notes of the essence of spiced pear, apple and an array of floral elements. Here too the mouthfeel is succulent and seductive with a bit more mid-palate density along with much more evident minerality on the impressively long and well-balanced finale. Smoky reduction completely dominates the underlying fruit at present so be sure to decant this if you're going to try a bottle young. The refined and strikingly textured medium weight flavors possess excellent mid-palate concentration before terminating in a highly persistent, impeccably well-balanced and markedly dry, but not really austere, finale. This is a big and powerful wine, particularly by the usual standards of En Remilly and one that should age effortlessly. Well worth investigating. Drink through 2033+.

Perched at the top of Puligny, La Truffiere's poor, stony soils give particularly fine and linear wines. Bruno’s bottling shows notable clarity and length, with a distinctly Puligny profile.

This is also markedly floral in character with its nose of the essence of spiced pear and exotic tea aromas that are trimmed in moderate wood influence. The palate impression of the middle weight flavors is not nearly as dense or powerful but it is markedly finer and more mineral-driven as well before terminating in an almost delicate yet punchy, long and beautifully well-balanced finale. This is a Truffière of finesse in 2023 but one that should also amply repay extended keeping. Drink through 2033+.

A slightly ripe nose offers up an array of white orchard fruit, especially pear, acacia, petrol and a hint of tangerine peel. There is again very good density to the beautifully textured and succulent medium-bodied flavors that aren't quite as refined as those of the Bouchères but do offer more volume as well as just a bit better depth on the balanced and saline-infused finale. Good stuff here. Drink through 2033+.

The 2023 Meursault Charmes 1er Cru has an intense nose of dried honey, walnut and crushed stone—clean and precise, quintessentially Charmes. The oak is neatly subsumed. The palate is wonderful: slightly honeyed in texture, rounded and weighty, not as mineral-driven as the Perrières but the sheer presence of this Meursault is captivating. An outstanding wine from Charles Ballot. Drink 2026-2044.

Pale lemon colour, with an excellent bouquet that speaks well of Charmes. This has flesh, white fruit, some oak, a sense of grip, still very muscular. Very youthful but with all the right ingredients to make a fine Charmes for at least medium term keeping. Drink from 2029-2034.

The super-sleek and almost painfully intense medium weight flavors brim with a borderline aggressive stoniness that is like rolling a tiny pebble around the mouth before terminating in a lingering finish shaped by lemon-tinged acidity. This is also terrific. Drink through 2033+.

The 2023 Meursault Les Perrières 1er Cru, which I tasted as part of a masterclass in London with Charles Ballot, has an intense nose with crushed stone alongside hints of white peach and white chocolate. But it is the mineralité that drives this along. The palate is tensile from the start, showcasing razor-sharp tannins and killer mineralité with a very persistent and prolonged finish. Another outstanding Meursault. Drink 2027-2046.

Pale lemon and lime. Very intense bouquet while keeping cool. This is the best balanced of the three Meursault 1ers crus, the structure can easily take the sunshine and there is a beautiful backbone. All that this vineyard should be, with superb persistence and all the stones one could want. Drink from 2030-2036.

Open vat fermentation, 21 days on skins, aged in French oak (20% new) for 18 months. Hand-picked from the '69 and '70 blocks and offering a real taste of Victorian wine history. With some swishes of air it opens up a treat, highlighting impressive fruit concentration and deep flavour replete in black fruits, plum, cassis, bay leaf, acacia and dark chocolate, with a gentle leafy complexity. Even tannins and plenty of length. Drink by 2031.

The elegant medium bodied palate features red currant and mulberry fruits on the front half with tertiary elements of earth, subtle tobacco, dried herbs and spicy vanillin cedar lying underneath. Sauvignon Blanc from a warmer part of Tasmania – the cooler regions might just make the variety a little too lean and mean – which works well. A gleaming pale green/gold, this is a Savvy of intensity throughout. The aromas are a pleasing mix of the herbal and the tropical, giving us a medley of passionfruit and cut grass – sounds odd but it works. There is acidity tending to paper cut levels, but as the tropicals take over on the palate, this is neatly balanced. Good length here, and the wine should drink well for the next couple of years. You could do a lot worse than match it with some fresh Tassie scallops. Drink 2024-2026.
