Dark red core with black toned edges and a vibrant red hue. Perfumed aromas of violet, red to dark cherry, strawberry and anise sail out of the glass followed by some forest floor, fresh herb, brambly cedar and spice notes. Flowing gracefully across the palate are spicy red to dark cherry, winter strawberry and rhubarb fruits with an under current of forest floor, brambly cedar and dried herb characteristics. Fine grained tannins with fresh underlying acidity applying just the right amount of tension. Amply powered it concludes long with a savoury elegance.
