2024 Scotchmans Hill Chardonnay

A mid weighted, well fleshed Chardonnay with a smoky flint like character lingering across the finish.

Matured in new to 4 year old French oak barriques for a period of 12 months. Brilliant pale straw to straw colour with green tinted edges and a watery hue. Aromas of nectarine and pear infused with prominent dried clove notes mix with hints of dried honey and gun flint. The mid weighted, well fleshed palate features rich peach, nectarine and pear fruits over a back drop of biscuity oak, dried honey and gun flint. Brisk yet balanced acidity with a smoky flint like character lingering across the finish.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

A bright green gold. Aromas of stone fruits, vanilla pod and a whisper of sea spray emerge with a little air. The palate is persistent and well structured, with fresh acidity. Should develop nicely over the next two to three years. Drink by 2030.
