The 2015 Dom Pérignon is terrific. Bright and poised, the 2015 shows terrific energy. Citrus peel, white flowers, mint, white pepper and slate all race across the palate. There's gorgeous tension and backbone here, with bright saline notes that extend the mid-palate and finish. This is a fine showing in a vintage that has proven to be tricky. I am intrigued to see how the 2015 develops in the coming years. Drink 2025-2045.

    Antonio Galloni – Vinous

There's a well-spiced, zesty edge to the flavors of glazed apple, mandarin orange peel, pink grapefruit pith and crème de cassis as they ride the finely detailed mousse of this fresh, focused Champagne. This vivid display is enriched by notes of canelé pastry, chopped almond, pastry cream, smoke and vanilla, all coming to the forefront through the midpalate and chiming on the lasting finish. Drink now through 2035.

A super-complex Champagne with chewy tension. Aromas of coffee beans, lemon peel, burnt sugar, chalky minerality, barley candy and tarte tatin. Fine pinprick bubbles with flavors of lemon leaves, aspirin and Mirabelle plums, plus a touch of grapefruit bitterness keeping the tension. Zesty yet integrated chewy acidity and a medium body with a toasted finish. Drink of hold.

The 2015 Dom Perignon pours a bright straw/yellow color and is expressive and layered on the nose with a tropical profile in its notes of cantaloupe, peach, fresh pastry, smokey wet stones, and orange blossoms. Medium to full-bodied, it offers a rounded and ripe but very well-detailed feel, with a soft, chalky texture. This was a very successful vintage for Dom Perignon, producing wines that retain a great deal of clarity and detail in this warm vintage. Drink over the coming 20 years. Drink 2024-2045.

    Audrey Frick – JebDunnuck.com

Disgorged in January 2023, the 2015 Dom Pérignon shows a singular, ethereal profile with aromas of white pepper, iodine, ripe orchard fruits, toast, smoke, herbs and spices. Medium to full-bodied, layered, and structured, it’s enveloping and round with a delicate phenolic mid-palate that underlines chalky dry extracts, concluding with a sapid, penetrating finish with gastronomic bitterness. This iteration of Dom Pérignon, though replete with the customary charm and vinous generosity that typify the label, distinguishes itself by its structural delicate austerity and a notably phenolic profile, giving rise to a remarkably linear and well-defined style that diverges markedly from the more familiar expressions of Dom Pérignon. This is a blend of 51% Pinot Noir and 49% Chardonnay with a dosage of 4.5 grams per liter; it will age wonderfully and can be enjoyed now or over the next 20 years. Drink 2024 -2054.

2022 Dalrymple Vineyards Mt. Lord Pinot Noir
    Tasmania, AUSTRALIA
    $120. 00
    Bottle
    $1440.00 Dozen
    Cellar: Drink now - 8 Years (2025-2033)
    ABV: 14%
    Closure: Diam Cork

Boasting superb richness, power and a supple feel, this is superb expression of Tassie Pinot that draws comparisons with top end Burgundy.

The crown jewel in the Dalrymple collection, the Mt. Lord Vineyard is located on a small, angular and varied landscape that lays on the protected easterly slope of the Pontos Hills. The vineyard rows run up the hillside from 134m to 156m above sea level, precariously positioned between a rock ledge below and steep barren hillside above.
The fruit was handpicked with a small amount of the bunches placed directly into the ferment. Maturation took place in French oak barriques (30% new) for a period of 10 months.

Deep dark red core with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Intense spicy dark cherry, rhubarb, dried herb and bramble scents sail through the nostrils with some forest floor, subtle strawberry and cedar notes also making an appearance. Rich, concentrated and supple in its flow across the palate, it shows fabulous power and expansive volume. Dark cherry, strawberry and rhubarb flavours infused with dried herbs are further complexed by notions of brambly cedar, forest floor and spice. Velvety tannins seamlessly integrate into the very long, complex and highly savoury conclusion.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
    Alc. 14%

A new offering from Dalrymple from the Mt Lord vineyard, purchased by Hill-Smith Family Vineyards in 2012. Bright ruby with lifted aromas of red cherry, red plum and raspberry pip. Notes of fine spice suffuse through the wine with hints of struck flint, raspberry coulis, powdered stone, wildflowers, gentle game tones and a distant whiff of leaf litter. Fine, lacy acidity provides energy and drive. Fruit ripe and pure, stretched in a canvas of fine, kinetic tannin, supple and finely detailed as it retreats. Drink by 2036.

Dave Brookes – James Halliday’s Australian Wine Companion

I was fortunate to taste the only sample of this wine in the UK, and it is one of the most remarkable Tassie wines of my life.  Take all of the purity and expression we know and love from Tasmanian elite Pinot Noir, then concentrate it just a touch.  Darken the fruit, add a hint more muscle, spice and shantung silk textural mystery, along with a whisper of magical whole bunches and some rhapsodic French oak and the picture is complete.  Pete Caldwell captured the essence of this site in Polaroid perfection. Then, he made the near-impossible happen by transferring all of the energy and greatness of this fruit without squandering a drop of potential into the bottle.  I implore the lever-pullers at Hill-Smith Family Estate’s HQ to heave a few cases of this wine onto the next Dalrymple boat to the UK.  If this wine appeared next to various Clos de Vougeots, Bonnes-Mares and Chambertins this week, it would bring the house down!  Drink 2026 – 2035

Distilleria Valverde Amaro di Langa (700ml)
    ITALY
    $99. 99

    $1199.88 Dozen
    ABV: 26%

The Birello family have been preparing this Amaro since 1973, the same year their company was founded with a dream to set up their own business in liqueurs and grappa. It was initially labeled as 'Pilger', but in 2009 it became Amaro di Langa after the recipe was improved with the addition of a good percentage of herbs from local farms, including mallow, lemon balm, hyssop, lavender, rosemary and damask rose. They also use herbs, flowers and roots known for their digestive and bittering properties such as gentian, wormwood, nutmeg, yarrow and bitter orange. It adds up to a total of 26 ingredients, all cold macerated for a more delicate extraction. The resulting aromatics are complex, deep, rich and enticing with nutmeg and bitter herbaceous notes married with bitter orange, mint and gentian, hints of poached fruits and traces of cinnamon warmth. Softer, rounder and less assertive than the nose anticipates, the palate strikes a fine balance between sweet and bitter, with subtle notes of gentian, cinchona, cola and soft spices through the finish - a good starting point for newcomers to the category. 26% Alc./Vol.

    ABV: 40%

Other reviews... Unquestionably the softest, least aggressive whisky I have tasted for the 2020 Whisky Bible. 89 points - Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2020

...Nikka Days is probably the newest product to join the Nikka stable - only released in mid-2020, it joins other blended whisky expressions from Nikka such as the Nikka Tailored, Super Nikka, Nikka From The Barrel, and many more. As the name suggests, this was designed for easy daily drinking and is a Bourbon cask aged blend of malt and grain whiskies from across the Nikka spectrum and likely from the Ben Nevis Scotch distillery as well (making it not purely a Japanese whisky). It comes in a really pretty bottled with a yellow theme that is a really nice pop on an otherwise traditionally more muted whisky shelf. This was as expected very approachable, easy to drink, but with a nice added hit of citrusy flavours and smoked cream which amounts to a decent complexity. For an entry level whisky, the aroma and finish was particularly standout and definitely made me feel that this punched above its weight. If you’re going to buy something entry level, I genuinely think this should be your pick. It’s not over-oaked, it’s not thin to a sin, no off notes or sharpness, nor is it actually bad in any way - for the most part it’s quite the delight. Don’t count this one out. Solid pick, cute bottle, nice whisky. - 88bamboo.co

This entry level Bordeaux offers a window into the quality of the outstanding 2022 vintage, one which Vinous critic Neal Martin states “two thousand twenty-two witnessed the birth of legendary wines and unbeatable value-for-money….” . And Jeb Dunnuck also lends his lofty praise of the vintage “This is an extraordinary vintage that will go down in record books as one of the all-time greats….. It’s possible to discover sensational wines from small châteaux and lesser-known appellations at surprisingly affordable price points.”
Whilst certainly not one of the vintage’s legends, this blend of 60% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc, without a doubt delivers fantastic value featuring rich blackcurrant fruit that shows ample flesh.

A rich, generously endowed Bordeaux from the outstanding 2022 vintage that delivers great value.

Deep black dark red core with a dark red black tinged hue. Ripe red to black currant and liquorice aromas fill the nostrils followed by some earth, cigar box and spicy dried herb notes. The mid weighted palate is awash with rich, concentrated blackcurrant fruits with notions of liquorice, earth, toasty vanillin cedar, subtle black olive and spicy dried herb characters unfolding across the back half. Fleshy yet grainy mouth feel with a sturdy tannin structure leading into a long amply fruited finish that has a robust feel.

A beautifully finessed Chardonnay that combines power and freshness with a refined feel.

From a family who have been managing vineyards in Marlborough since the 1970's, after a significant stint at Fromm winery, ending as General Manager, Will Hoare and his wife Rachel decided to venture out on their own to produce wine from the incredible vineyards they had access to. For this wine fruit was sourced from a block in the central Wairau plains of Marlborough planted entirely with the Mendoza clone around the mid 1980’s. Originally a riverbed, this block is naturally warm during the day, as well as at night, thanks to the radiating effect of the exposed greywacke rock lying beneath the vines. The rock radiates heat up into the canopy, making this vineyard an ideal site for ripening Chardonnay.

Brilliant pale straw colour with a watery hue. Showing wonderful aromatic lift, the nose is engulfed with ripe white peach, dried honey and more subtle crème brulee scents which are trailed by some biscuity nougat, cashew and spice notes. The palate features a refined, creamy like textural feel with rich fleshy peach, dried honey and crème brulee flavours filling the mouth. Citrusy nougat, cashew, biscuit and delicate infusions of gun flint lie underneath. Fresh and amply powered it finishes long and beautifully finessed.

Firework flint, lemon oil and yellow peach cheeks. Grapefruit sorbet and cold butter log. Almond milk creaminess with a deft handling of oak on the palate. Cumin, powdered ginger and white pepper. This delivers the charitable dimensions of chardonnay with a breeze of gently rolling acidity and brilliance of a chiselled precious stone. Peach cream and baked meringue on the finish. Drinking beautifully and will age further. Wonderful to see the confidence and precision from a new player. Very exciting. Drink by 2028.

    Cappelletti Aperitivo Mazzura (750ml)
    ITALY
    $36. 99
    Bottle
    $443.88 Dozen
    ABV: 17%

Antica Erboristeria Cappelletti was established in 1906 in the historic Piazza Fiera in the center of Trento. Today they're located 20 km south of Trento in Aldeno, surrounded by vineyards and apple orchards. As the name would suggest, the firm was and remains focused on products made from traditional herbs, roots and flowers. They achieved fame in the region for their amari and aperitivi, including the classic red bitter Aperitivo Cappelletti. All production is done in house by the fourth generation of the family, Luigi and Maddalena Cappelletti.

This ruby-red aperitif includes botanicals sourced from the Dolomite hills and valleys in Italy's Triveneto region, the birthplace of the Spritz. Mazzura's colour comes from a unique blend of flowers and fruits that is entirely natural. Its aromas conjure red apples, cinnamon and bitter notes of gentian and citrus peel, while the flavour features subtle herbal accents, like fresh thyme and rosemary plus a tang of citrus and a pleasing bitterness. Enjoy over ice with a splash of soda, or try it in a Negroni or Boulevardier or Spritz. 17% Alc./Vol. Vegan friendly.

Foursquare Magisterium Exceptional Cask Selection Mark XXVI 16 Year Old Full Proof Single Blended Rum (700ml)
    BARBADOS
    $250. 00
    Bottle
    $3000.00 Dozen
    ABV: 58%

"Richard Seale has done it again. Magisterium is such a fun rum that carves its own path, even after 26 specialized releases in the ECS series."

Marque number XXVI (26) in the Exceptional Cask Series is the curiously named 'Magisterium', a blend of three 16-year-old single blended rums distilled in two stills: a Double-Retort Pot Still and a Continuous Twin Column Coffey Still. Out of the three rums, two were double-matured. One spent three years aging in ex-bourbon casks and 13 years in ex-oloroso sherry barrels; another spent nine years in ex-bourbon casks and seven years in ex-oloroso sherry. The third component was matured exclusively in ex-bourbon barrels for 16 years. That makes it the first heavily sherried expression since the ECS Sovereignty, widely regarded as a series favourite. The make up should appeal equally to lovers of dark, brooding cask strength single malts, as much as Foursquare fans. The final rum is bottled at 58% Alc./Vol.

Other reviews... The rum is 16 years old and it does have a very pronounced oak notes initially. There is a sweetness that mingles nicely alongside the bitter oak char. Which prevents either element from unbalancing the mix. Beneath this we have an array of rich dark fruits – almost like a Black Forest Gateaux filling. The rum is more intense and less sweet than the nose suggested. The mid palate takes on an intense oak and dry astringency. Lifted by notes of dark chocolate and those dark fruits. There are hints of leather and a little shoe polish from time to time. The finish on Foursquare Magisterium is quite dry and again exhibits a fair amount of oak. It is long and very satisfying with a very lip smacking flavour! This is a another great entry into the Exceptional Cask Series. I have really enjoyed re-acquainting myself with a Foursquare rum as I haven’t had one for a while. Still producing really good stuff and still upping the ante in terms of tropical ageing. - thefatrumpirate.com

Nicely rounded texturally, fleshy white peach and pear fruits are cast across the mid weighted palate with some biscuity nougat, dried honey and wet stone elements the undercard. Glenmorangie The Infinita 18 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)
    Highlands, SCOTLAND
    $199. 99
    Bottle
    $2399.88 Dozen
    ABV: 43%

What was the 'Extremely Rare 18 year old' is now titled 'Infinita 18 Year Old', with packaging updated to a vibrant blue gift box with copper accents. The expression is said to be a favourite of Glenmorangie's Director of Whisky Creation, Dr Bill Lumsden. He says: “For me, Glenmorangie Infinita encapsulates every element of our house style in perfect harmony and is our most deliciously complex creation. There are aromas of honey, vanilla, narcissus and jasmine, and tastes of figs, dates, nuts, gentle spices and more. Fans of Glenmorangie 18 Years Old can rest assured that our wondrous whisky is unchanged. I’m sure they’ll agree that, as its new name suggests, Glenmorangie Infinita is deliciousness without end.” The whisky retains its flavour profile from Glenmorangie's characteristic distillation process and maturation in ex-bourbon and ex-oloroso sherry casks. 43% Alc./Vol.

Other reviews... This marriage of bourbon and oloroso sherry casks on Glenmorangie’s revamped 18 year old has created a delightful nose of heather honey, toasted oak, citrus peel, candied ginger, mandarin orange flan, lemon zest, icing sugar, and floral notes. Polished and elegant on the taste buds, with honeyed fruits, peach, mandarin, pepper, clove, and orange cake, with little licks of smoke, sultana, oak, and Olde English marmalade on the lengthy finish. 92 points - whiskyadvocate.com

...extra time has changed things more than a little: The nose is richly earthy and laden with umami notes, almost leathery and vegetal rather than clearly herbal or grassy. A light furniture polish note adds a level of austerity to the experience. The palate at last sweetens things up, its baked apple character mixing with toasted almonds and crushed graham crackers, making for a chewy cobbler experience. A gentle beefiness endures here, some of that rye-driven greenery evoking rosemary and thyme. But watch carefully for a final burst of strawberries on the conclusion, along with a touch of saffron, which perk this rather savory experience up enough to keep things lively. - drinkhacker.com

    $923.88 Dozen
    ABV: 13%

Wakaze blends tradition and innovation, crafting sake with a uniquely global perspective. Their 'Classic' Japan is brewed in Yamagata to the same specifications as its Parisian counterpart, using table rice with a minimal polishing rate (90%) and White Koji mould for a touch of sweetness and bright acidity. The result is a creamy, umami-rich sake that reflects Wakaze’s modern approach.

Tasting note: Pale lemon in the glass with a faint cloudy haze. Aromatically the nose leans savoury, opening with dried mushroom, rice bran, and yoghurt, with subtle dried fruit lurking beneath. Given time and with some warmth the fresh green fruit begins to emerge. The palate takes a more familiar approach, offering richer notes of earthy rice, cream, and candied ginger, complemented by hints of green melon, pawpaw, and white strawberry. A touch of sweetness on the finish adds balance, preventing the savoury elements from dominating. You could serve this at various points in the meal as it would compliment starters like tempura prawns or vegetables, or later alongside warm meat dishes.
Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Fresh and juicy yet savoury with a strong whole bunch character flowing through it.

Grafted onto Cabernet vines, with the first vintage in 2014, the vines are grown on a mixture of submerged volcanic pebbles and cracking clay soil. After undergoing carbonic maceration in a sealed tank for 10 days, the must is pressed to 5-year-old barrels and bottled 8 months later.
Opaque dark red black tinged colour with a dark purple red hue. Powerfully scented with aromas of sour cherries, strawberry and dark cherries carrying a strong whole bunch influence of dried clove and wild herbs. Ensuing are some earthy incense and spiced dried meat like notes. Generously concentrated yet light on its feet, savoury sour to dark cherry, strawberry, brambly rhubarb like characters, dried clove, earthy incense and spicy smoked meats are lent a fresh feel by bright acidity. Polished yet structured tannins with a long vibrant spicy clove infused finish that has a juicy feel.

A discreet dollop of wood sets off a similar set of aromas that offer a hint of wet stone. The mouthfeel of the medium weight flavors is also sleek and vibrant with a slightly finer texture that carries over to the balanced, youthfully austere and slightly more compact finale. This is very good for its level and worth considering. Drink through 2028+.

Attractive lemon and lime colour. Fatter nose up front and at the front of the palate, then a stricter behind, more in yellow fruit. Made for a style but I prefer the classicism of the regular. Drink from 2025-2028.

Very golden in both colour and character. Plenty of spice notes at the moment, along with crisp acidity. Will be very classy. More than a touch of Chassagne about this. Longer maturation than the 'straight' Chablis, the best plots go into this. Maturation partly in tank, partly in barrels (25%). To be bottled in December 2023. Drink 2024 - 2028.

An overtly floral-suffused nose reflects notes of sea breeze, zest confit and a whiff of white pepper. There is more refinement if not necessarily better density to the beautifully textured medium-bodied flavors that possess better depth on the lightly austere, structured and lingering finale. While it should repay a decade or so of keeping, it should also be reasonably approachable after only 4 to 5 years. Drink through 2029+.

Pale lemon colour. Just a little bit smoky yet pleasingly marine as well. Very crunchy saline finish, 2022 is more classic for Vaillons than 2023. White fruit with the lightest of saline lemon rinses. Drink from 2026-2032.

Plenty of ripe sunny fruit here. Crisp acidity, lovely purity, one for relatively early drinking. Salty edge to finish. From six plots spread across Vaillons, harvested at separate times. Here the wood is subtle though easily perceptible on the mildly exotic aromas of white and yellow peach, orange peel and moderate Chablis elements. On the palate the larger-bodied and more concentrated flavors are also generously proportioned while concluding in a balanced, dry and powerful finish. This could use more depth so a few years of keeping should again prove beneficial. Drink through 2029+.

Pale lemon yellow. A richer white fruit and some oak on the nose. This has really tightened up on the palate, good dry extract, some fresh acidity, and a spicy note as well. The 2022 Mont de Milieu has temporarily gone slightly into its shell. Drink from 2027-2032.

Billaud-Simon is a reference point in Chablis, renowned for their precise, mineral-driven wines that epitomize the region’s purest expression. Established in 1815, the domaine has long been synonymous with razor-sharp tension and crystalline clarity, drawing from an exceptional array of terroirs, including holdings in vaunted Grand Crus like Les Clos, Vaudésir, and Les Preuses. Now under the stewardship of Faiveley, the wines remain resolutely Chablisien—steely, age-worthy, and deeply evocative of their limestone-rich origins. For those who prize terroir transparency, Billaud-Simon delivers Chablis at its most compelling.

    Other Reviews....
Moderate though also easily detectible wood is present on the nose of iodine, white flowers and a hint of oyster shell. The markedly finer middleweight flavors exude evident minerality that adds a sense of lift to the balanced, nicely dry and impressively long finish that displays the natural class of a fine MdT. As with many of these 2022s, it could use more depth but the style is lovely and understated. Drink through 2030+.

An even lemon yellow. The concentrated warmth of Montée de Tonnerre is showing here in a very attractive way, a little more compelling than Mont de Milieu. Less flamboyant up front then the 2023 but if anything offering greater intensity behind with really well harnessed marine minerals. Beautiful persistence. Drink from 2027-2032.

Very pure and crystalline on both nose and palate. Real drive and energy, just the vaguest hint of wood which adds more to texture than flavour. A very fine example. Billaud-Simon has plots within the three sectors of Montée de Tonnerre, with the oldest plots in the Pied d'Aloup climat which reach 87 years old. Olivier Bailly normally only uses tank for this climat but this year has 6% in barrel. Drink 2025-2031.

Be aware that Bailly noted that to this point the Bougros had only seen contact with stainless steel though it's possible he may rack it into barrel for a few months before it's bottled. A cool and reserved nose grudgingly offers up a combination of pronounced smoky mineral reduction, quinine and ocean breeze. The powerful, concentrated and muscular big-bodied flavors possess a lovely sense of underlying tension that also suffuses the crisp, very dry and beautifully long finish. This isn't refined, indeed it's borderline rustic but then again, elegance isn't why one buys Bougros. Drink through 2031+.

The Bougros is made from purchased grapes. All in tank so far but will probably have a spell in barrel, to remove the minor reduction. A luminous lemon and lime colour. Actually, the reduction on the nose is minimal, though there are some interesting grenadine notes on the palate which is otherwise not too exuberant. Citrus zest infuses the back of the palate. Once again moderate wood is present on the cool if ripe and vaguely exotic aromas that feature notes of pear liqueur, green fruit, spice and seashore hints. There is almost painful intensity to the larger-scaled and overtly powerful flavors that terminate in a chalky, youthfully austere and compact finale that also flirts with rusticity. This is impressive and very much a classic Valmur. Drink through 2032+.

Valmur receives the same as Bougros for elevage, so no oak thus far.. Glowing fresh pale yellow. An interesting zesty citrus rind nose, unexpected for me or this vineyard. A rich texture on the palate shows the grand cru, ripe citrus notes, if a little heavy in the flesh. Drink from 2028-2034.

Very generous wood frames overtly exotic-suffused nose of mineral reduction, white peach, apricot, pretty floral and ample spice wisps. There is excellent punch to the refined middleweight flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the lingering, firm and built-to-age finale. This too needs to develop more depth so more cellaring is in order plus it should help to better integrate the wood as this is pretty oaky today. Drink through 2030+.

Lemony colour. A touch of the wet wool reduction, more usual on a wine with greater age, but not in itself suggesting evolution. This wet wool aromatic is really just a sulphur compound, I believe. Then very spicy behind with a raft of white fruit energy and good acidity. Hangs on in well, plenty of latent concentration, just closed at the moment. Drink from 2028-2038.

A more quintessential Glen Elgin would be hard to find.

The official importer of The Single Malts of Scotland range has landed another very desirable Australian Exclusive. 260 bottles of this underdog malt from Fogwatt in Speyside are on offer. Revered by blenders, Glen Elgin's forte is its fruitiness - and the best examples are not just fruity, they're lush. Clear wort, a long fermentation time and slow distillation help shape its signature profile. Condensing then takes place in worm tubs adding body and complexity (it remains one of only a handful of distilleries that still uses worm tubs). Official bottlings are a rare sight these days with only a 12YO in production as part of Diageo's Hidden Malt range. In this Bourbon matured expression, the nose speaks of honey drizzled cereals and ripe cantaloupe. The oily delivery is gorgeously textural, thick, fruity and long with ripe pears and poached apples balanced by a flash of tangerine zest and a gentle tannic grip. There is a strong semblance to high class Linkwood, Cragganmore or even some Clynelish in its delicious, almost tropical fruitiness and threads of beeswax. If you've never tasted this style of malt, here's a perfect place to start. A more quintessential Glen Elgin would be hard to find. 56.5% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.

Notes from the importers... Nose: Pear drops, waxy apple skins, paraffin candles, cinnamon sticks and creme brulee coalesce in a portrait of apple strudel dusted with icing sugar. The Macallan Harmony Collection Vibrant Oak Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)
    Speyside, Highlands, SCOTLAND
    $350. 00
    Bottle
    $4200.00 Dozen
    ABV: 44.2%

Here is the fourth instalment in The Macallan's limited annual Harmony Collection. 'Vibrant Oak' reflects the influence of sherry-seasoned casks having matured in both first-fill sherry-seasoned American oak and refill sherry casks. The whisky was created in collaboration with Cirque du Soleil, and the packaging features characters from its SPIRIT experience which premiered at The Macallan Estate in early 2024. As with others in the series, the outer packaging and label are made from repurposed oak chippings, leftover as a by-product in the cask-making process. 44.2% Alc./Vol.

Notes from the producers... Nose Intense vanilla bean accompanied by sweet sherbet and lime zest gives way to fragrant pears nestled in delicate vanilla sponge cake. Palate Creamy vanilla panna cotta, buttery shortbread, lightly toasted coconut with almond brittle, apple and sweet oak. Finish Medium, sweet with lingering vanilla.
