2018 Reillys Dry Land Shiraz

A hefty, power packed Clare Shiraz with a robust tannin structure.

Fruit was sourced from the Home Block in Leasingham which was planted in 1919 with maturation taking place in a mix of French and American oak for a period of two years.
Impenetrable inky black heart with a very deep dark red black hue. Heady black cherry and liquorice scents are complimented by vanillin oak, scorched earth, leather and peppered fennel notes. Rich, dense and power packed, the hefty palate boasts substantial weight and concentration with lush black cherry and liquorice fruits to the fore. Spicy vanillin oak, scorched earth and peppered fennel characters are largely absorbed by the lavish layers of fruit. Robust tannin structure concluding long, chewy and decadent.
