Gabriel Boudier Apricot Brandy Liqueur (500ml)

Apricot Brandy can refer to two different types of drinks: a sweet, fruit-flavoured liqueur, typically with a relatively low ABV, or an unsweetened fruit eau-de-vie, essentially a brandy in the proper sense of the spirit. This example is of the former type. Gabriel Boudier macerate whole ripe apricots mixed with wine eau-de-vie, then give the infusion a judicious dose of sugar. The resulting liqueur captures the taste of fine apricots, picked at the height of summer. Besides culinary uses and being enjoyed neat, it pairs with vodka to make an Apricot Sour, and is key in the creation of the Hotel Nacional and Charlie Chaplin cocktails. 24% Alc./Vol.
