Dodd's Kew Organic Gin (700ml)London, UNITED KINGDOM$89. 99Bottle$1079.88 DozenABV: 46%A collaboration between Dodd's Gin and the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Seasonal harvested flora from the garden is hand selected and transported to the distillery near Tower Bridge, just minutes from the City of London, before being distilled in Dodd’s 140 litre copper alembic. Two types of organic Juniper are used (Bulgarian and Tuscan) as well as five types of citrus – lemon, lime, pink grapefruit peel, orange peel and bergamot peel. From the Kew Gardens a range of botanicals have been foraged including santolina, rosemary, lavender flower, galangal and passion flower. The gin is crafted from four individual distillations, grouped according to botanical character, which are then married together to create a "quintessential London gin". Tasting note: Brilliant clarity. Drier styled aromas are increasingly intense with fresh piney juniper, citrus oils, white pepper. Air contact accents the woody, juniper / chamomile tea-like notes and adds a hint of liquorice root. Mildly oily delivery with ripe juniper / juicy citrus zest followed by gently bitter peel, lemon tart and vibrant peppery warmth lingering in the aftertaste. Classic London Dry.46% Alc./Vol. -

Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin (500ml)IRELAND$69. 99Bottle$839.88 DozenABV: 43%Not only in Australia, but overseas as well, the gin market is experiencing steady growth with consumption in Europe alone forecast to increase by 12.3% by 2019. New players are emerging from all quarters. This novel release is made in the "Shed Distillery", Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim which is the first distillery in the West of Ireland in over 101 years. Opened in 2016 by the team of PJ Rigney and his wife Denise (inventors of Sheridan’s Irish Cream and Boru Vodka), the venture is already busy creating a range of spirits, including whiskey and gin. Rigney adds, “The international market is now looking for super-premium brands that stand apart, with unique heritage and unrivalled quality & taste. There’s huge international excitement about this new gin and we already have some pre-orders from China.” Handcrafted through slow distillation in a gleaming medieval copper pot still fired by steam, Rigney expands on the production process for his gin: "Various oriental fresh citrus and leaves (gunpowder tea) are added into the 3 layer infusion basket, which lies in the vapour pathway between the still and the condenser. Steam is gently applied. The vapour rises through the unique shape of the medieval head, which allows maximum copper contact, which cleans and purifies the spirit. The vapour exits the still and passes into the infusion basket, where it gently extracts the oils and aromas from the citrus and tea. Boiling in the still would extract bitter compounds from these ingredients, whereas vapour infusion only extracts the aromatic oils. The vapour passes into the condenser and is condensed down into our gin at approx. 75%. We take an early cut so as to avoid any harshness that tends to come off further into the distillation. The gin is allowed to rest for a week, which allows the oils and alcohol to infuse and for flavour to develop. It is then diluted to 43% with filtered water and gently filtered for clarity." The keynote here is 'Gunpowder Tea' (Camellia sinensishis) - a green tea that's been slowly dried then carefully rolled into shiny pellets. The flavour is bold and bright with a slight spicy freshness. Other botanicals include juniper, angelica, orris, caraway, coriander, meadowsweet, cardamom and star anise as well as vapour infused oriental lemon, lime and fresh grapefruit. Tasting note: Intense aromas of blackpepper, lemon peel and juniper in the opening pass. Later inhalations detect hints of orris root, cinnamon and chamomile tea. Follows through with robust flavours of liquorice root, cardamom, background juniper and a warming, vibrant, peppery finish with late juniper and liquorice through the aftertaste. A flavourful, spicy style that will hold up to mixing. 43% Alc./Vol. Notes from the producer: "Delightfully fresh and rounded up front with citrus, juniper & spicy notes immediately evident. The expected Juniper follows close behind. Gunpowder Tea, meadowsweet & Coriander are all notable. The overall impression is of a very well balanced and surprising gin." 43% Alc./Vol. - Dunnet Bay Distillers Rock Rose Citrus Coastal Gin (700ml)SCOTLAND$99. 99Bottle$1199.88 DozenABV: 41.5%
Flavourful, fresh and zesty with a bracing sea air finish, Dunnet Bay's Coastal Citrus gin was originally distilled as an exclusive for Scotland's Craft Gin Club in August 2020. It was so well received, they decided to make it part of the core range. Inspired by the Caithness coastline and is created using locally foraged kelp sourced from the Hebridean Mustard Company, botanicals include Shore Seaweed and salt blended with pure liquorice root and aniseed. Lemon verbena is also in the mix - a perennial woody shrub with a bright citrus flavour. The result is an incredibly smooth gin with a delectably sweet taste and a delicious salted edge. 41.5% Alc./Vol.
Notes from the producers... NOSE: Warm juniper notes giving way to bright lemon and verbena notes. PALATE: Fresh citrus balanced with oceanic umami flavour of kelp. FINISH: A hint of salinity coming through from the liquorice salt with more citrus on the finish.
- Dunnet Bay Distillers Rock Rose Smoked Orange Gin (700ml)SCOTLAND$99. 99Bottle$1199.88 DozenABV: 41.5%
Considered to be one of the first in a new generation of craft distilleries in Scotland’s growing Gin sector; Dunnet Bay Distillery, home to the Rock Rose gins, is the UK's most northerly mainland distillery. Situated in the picturesque coastal region of Caithness in the village of Dunnet Bay, it was established Martin and Claire Murray in 2014 after a long-held desire to return to their hometown.
Launched in July 2022 and delivering a delicious citrus burst, their Smoked Orange edition employs Lapsang Souchong tea adding smoky notes that enhance the zesty organic orange peel. Complemented by tangerine sage and lemon verbena, other botanicals include cassia, liquorice, water-mint and bilberries. Like the rest of the range, this little treat comes presented in the brand's iconic Rock Rose porcelain bottle - so pretty, you'll want to keep it! 41.5% Alc./Vol.
Notes from the bottlers... NOSE: Subtle hints of smoke lie underneath zingy citrus notes. PALATE: The clean pine smoke from Lapsang Souchong tea excites the tastebuds and, as it settles, a candied sweet orange rises through. FINISH: The finish is long as the deep rich smoke lingers on the palate. The fresh citrus notes of lemon verbena and tangerine sage resolve into a sweetness on the back of the tongue.
Other reviews... My overwhelming opinion at the end of sampling the Smoked Orange Edition is that this is an effort to truly be applauded. Here is a flavour profile that has been born out of wanting to step out of a comfort zone, which it achieves tenfold. At no point does the gin wobble from the tightrope of balance in to aggressiveness or overly assertive individual components. Rather, everything has its place and its reason for being. - theginshelf.uk/
- Dunnet Bay Distillers Rock Rose Old Tom Pink Grapefruit Gin (700ml)SCOTLAND$99. 99Bottle$1199.88 DozenABV: 41.5%An Old Tom style made using organic pink grapefruit. Peels are added to the botanical basket and vapour infused along with traditional gin botanicals. Sea buckthorn and Rhodiola rosea add an extra dimension. Before bottling, it's lightly sweetened with muscovado sugar. Expect a citrusy gin balancing juniper and vanilla sweetness with a finishing tang of grapefruit. 41.5% Alc./Vol. Other reviews... [Batch 3 tasted] Zesty with pink grapefruit and piney juniper to the fore.... far from sweet. In fact, despite the added sugar we consider this a dry gin. 4.5 stars - diffordsguide.com

Dunnet Bay Distillers Rock Rose Original Edition Gin (700ml)SCOTLANDReduced from $99.99$49. 99Bottle$599.88 DozenABV: 41.5%The Dunnet Bay distillery was established in 2014 in the far North of Scotland by husband and wife team, Martin and Claire Murray. Both pride themselves on using local hand-foraged botanicals alongside exotic ingredients from around the world. It was the inspiration behind their first product: Rock Rose Gin. The early batches sold out in a matter of days! What sets their product apart is that it's the first gin to employ Rhodiola rosea in the mix. This unusual botanical grows on the local cliffs and reportedly gives the gin an earthy, Turkish delight flavour. Italian and Bulgarian juniper berries, rose root, sea buckthorn, rowan berries, blueberries, cardamom, coriander seed and verbena (many of which are grown in Scotland) are also included. The citrus and floral notes combine with a little sweetness from local berries. It all works together to make a deliciously distinctive gin. 41.5% Alc./Vol.
Other reviews... On the nose, Rock Rose has a delicate bouquet of rose, mixed with deeper cardamom and a touch of citrus fused into a mouthwatering mix. Tasted neat – fruity berries merge with the floral nose to give a full-bodied, rounded gin. Bright, slightly sour notes ping as the juniper comes to the fore alongside a warming heat. There’s depth and character a plenty with all the flavours that surround the piney core working in harmony. Crisp citrus, leafy eucoliptic elements, light florals and a resinous underbelly. This is good gin. It’s smooth to finish too. In a Gin & Tonic, the sharpness of the Sea Buckthorn emerges a little more, but once again is counterbalanced by round berries and a juniper heart. Rock Rose is recommended with a rosemary garnish but we tried it with a mint leaf garnish which brought out the freshness. On another occasion (for research purposes of course!) orange peel also worked well. - ginfoundry.com

East London Liquor Co. Ltd Classic London Dry Gin (700ml)London, UNITED KINGDOM$79. 99Bottle$959.88 DozenABV: 40%The signature gin from the East London Liquor Company, a distillery based in Bow Wharf, and founded in late 2012 by Alex Wolpert. Made with 100% British wheat spirits and infused with lemon, grapefruit peel, coriander, angelica root, juniper berries, cubeb berries and cardamom. Distillation takes place in a state of the art 450 litre copper pot still, custom designed and hand built in Germany by Arnold Holstein. The company employs a "one shot method" - that is, they don’t macerate the botanicals prior to distilling, rather, once the still is loaded with ingredients and base spirit, it’s gently heated up and the process begins. Jamie Baxter, whose other projects include Chase Gin and Burleigh’s Gin, kickstarted the production.
The gin pours with a viscous, crystal clear appearance and yields a generous perfume of ripe lemon, light cardamom and coriander becoming sweet lemon meringue-like in later inhalations. It's full and nicely rounded in the mouth with a silky, mildly oily texture and a burst of juniper, lemon barley sugar and pepper that finishes long, balanced and fresh with hints of cardamom in the fade. This immensely appealing spirit also boasts a concentration that defies its low ABV. 40% Alc./Vol.

East London Liquor Co. Ltd Barrel Aged Gin (700ml)London, UNITED KINGDOM$135. 00Bottle$1620.00 DozenABV: 52%First launched in 2016, this barrel aged gin is rested in oak for several months before bottling (maturations will vary from batch to batch). The quality of the wheat base spirit really comes through. Tasting note: Frail straw-gold colour is almost water like. Super pure aromas include high pitch juniper, grapefruit and low key vanilla. Air contact turns this attractively herb-like evolving notes of thyme, lavender and cardamom. Quite relaxed given the ABV; flavours of peel heavy marmalade, citrus oils and piney-juniper. Spices up momentarily becoming softer to finish as trace juniper, dried herbs and hints of anise enter. Keenly tuned barrel input with all the right notes retained. Outstanding. 52% Alc./Vol. - Edgerton Original Pink Gin (700ml)London, UNITED KINGDOM$79. 99Bottle$959.88 DozenABV: 43%Martin Edgerton Gill, formerly owner of the London Gin Company, discovered that whilst superb taste in the glass is key to the long term success of a liquor brand, colour really works. His creation, the world’s first blue gin “London No 1 Blue” sold in 2010 to Gonzalez Byass of Spain has been a huge success. Rather than retire on the sale of London Gin, he decided to explore the possibilities of a pink gin. Gill, who had pioneered herbal teas in the nineteen eighties used his considerable knowledge of herbs and spices to create a totally new and contemporary pink gin. Quite apart from the enticing rosiness it is a delightful and complex gin blended with no less than fifteen exotic ingredients including pomegranate. 47% Alc./Vol. No tasting notes available.

It started with Hendrick’s, then along came Coarunn and Blackwoods. It seems Scotland is cementing its place as a quality gin producer. Here’s another. Set up by former marketing director of Glenmorangie, and whisky aficionado, Alex Nicol, Spencerfield Spirits prides itself on being a close-knit, family run business. Alex and his wife Jane are whole-heartedly dedicated to providing a quality niche alternative to the more conventional mainstream brands.
Their flagship product, the irreverently named, yet seriously flavoursome Sheep Dip was developed in 1970, with its stablemate, the seductively smooth Pig's Nose being launched three years later. Both award winning whiskies have recently been joined by Edinburgh Gin.
The gin is produced from high grade grain spirit distilled in a 200 year old Scottish copper pot still at Invergordon distillery, together with typical gin botanicals including juniper berries, citrus peel and orris root. A selection of uniquely Scottish botanicals are then added such as pine heather and milk thistle. The 1920's are known as gin's truly Golden era and in keeping with that theme, the packaging has an art deco feel that reflects this wonderful period of ‘gin’ fueled cocktail parties. A small batch variation of Edinburgh Gin (infused with Perthshire raspberries) is expected soon. No doubt the duo will continue to innovate. 43% Alc./Vol.

Bottled at 57.2% ABV, it's defined by intense juniper and Oriental spice (in fact, it has twice the juniper content of Edinburgh's "Classic Gin", previously imported). Florals and spice weave over a foundation of citrus and pine forest; it's viscous and intense with a thunderous undercurrent of spice and citrus, all layered with complex savoury notes. The beauty of the recipe means that, somehow, nothing stands out save for the remarkable layered texture, and symphony of balanced flavours. It's been dubbed a Gin geek's Gin, yet there is nothing elitist about it: just a beautifully crafted and quintessential cocktail gin that is built for the classics. Best suited to a full bodied Gimlet, a fiery Collins or simply amplify your G&T and make it a little bit more risky for an outrageously good time. Apart from whiskey, three different gins are now being made using a base of corn, wheat, and non-malted barley (the base spirit is actually his new make whiskey), while some of the 11 botanicals used include juniper, citrus (lemon and orange peel), Tahitian vanilla, cassia, grains-of-paradise and homegrown hops.
Wait a minute! Hops in the gin?
It turns out that Hletko’s been home brewing for 20 years and was inspired by New Holland’s 'Hopquila' (a sort of whiskey-tequila hybrid spirit with pronounced hops character). This is his barrel aged expression.Tasting note: Flawless bright gold appearance. Opens with juniper mixed with peppermint infused honey. Short aeration accentuates pine sap and muted white pepper notes. Cough lozenge-like but in the most attractive sense. Medium dry, with firm but controlled spices; shows solid concentration. The wood influence has been judged to perfection as the freshness of the juniper and pepper is never lost. Fisherman’s Friend flourishes on the finale. Excellent persistence. A first rate winter styled gin to enjoy on its own. 46.5% Alc./Vol.
Other reviews... Bright pale amber color. Aromas of pickling spice, acacia honey, spicy roasted apples and pears, and pineapple bread with a supple, fruity-yet-dry medium-to-full body and a long, interplay of spices, herbs, pine, dried fruits, and flowers. Beautiful and delicious bourbon notes. A whisky lover's gin for sipping or cocktails. 46.5% Alc./Vol.

Few American Gin (700ml)Evanston, Illinois, UNITED STATESReduced from $99.99$74. 99Bottle$899.88 DozenABV: 40%Paul Hletko, who launched 'Few Spirits' in 2011 is a man in pursuit of flavour. Hence, his new micro distillery is perhaps best defined by what it doesn't make - vodka.
"It's the opposite of what I want my spirits to be," says Hletko. "Few Spirits is about quality and flavor, and enjoying a drink. Taking the flavour out of the grain by distilling it into vodka is the opposite of what we want."
The Few distillery is located in Evanston, which was founded as a dry community. In fact it's been free of alcohol for more than one hundred years. Though the city did legalise drinking in the late 1990s, it took the perseverance Hletko to reverse the antiquated liquor laws.
The name F.E.W is a word play around the quantity the distillery started out making (a few bottles). It will probably remain that way for some time as Hletko maintains a grain-to-glass approach and doesn’t buy in neutral grain spirit.
Three different gins are now being made using a base of corn, wheat, and non-malted barley (the base spirit is actually his new make whiskey), while some of the 11 botanicals used include juniper, citrus (lemon and orange peel), Tahitian vanilla, cassia, grains-of-paradise and homegrown hops.
Wait a minute! Hops in the gin?
It turns out that Hletko’s been home brewing for 20 years and was inspired by New Holland’s 'Hopquila' (a sort of whiskey-tequila hybrid spirit with pronounced hops character).Suffice to say, Few's gins will be polarising, and will probably find more appeal amongst those who enjoy old-school Genevers rather than fans of typical London Drys.
Tasting note: Flawless crystal clear appearance with a silvery blush. Like Few's 'Standard Issue', this is not an overtly 'gin-like' aroma, rather the base spirit makes a significant contribution. It offers up crusty sour dough notes while the juniper / citrus peel / potpourri combination has been integrated with a soft touch. A delicate entry moves on to a light to medium weight profile with subtle flavours of citrus peel, juniper, lavender and tingling spiciness. The aftertaste is clean, dry and floral / rose hip like. What some might categorise as a 'modern' gin, this has few associations with any London Dry style that we've encountered. Try it if you enjoy Genevers. 40% Alc./Vol.

Fifty Pounds London Dry Gin (700ml)UNITED KINGDOMReduced from $99.99$79. 99Bottle$959.88 DozenABV: 43%Fifty Pounds is another entrant into the growing premium Gin category which came with a premium press release sure to make any lover of Gin salivate. Upon arrival a bottle was immediately opened for tasting.
Tasting Notes: Crystal clear, showing good cling to the glass. Lifted juniper, spearmint and almond essence top notes with mixed citrus peel and star anise below. The palate is rich and oily, very soft, and delivers a moderate burst of the flavours offered by the nose before quietly and quickly vanishing. The spirit is clean, pure and faultless. This is a very well made, 'soft and cuddly' Gin, but one which lacks the punch and interest to be considered among the finest examples. 43% Alc./Vol.

Fifty/50 Cask Aged Gin (500ml)SCOTLAND$99. 99Bottle$1199.88 DozenABV: 50%A gin with a difference, and a claim to be the oldest gin in the world. That's not hard to believe when you learn half of it's aged in casks for twenty years. The spirit was originally sourced by the House of MacDuff, a company run by mother-and-son team, Jane and Iain MacDuff in Renfrew - a small town just outside Glasgow. Back then, the gin category was relatively slow. Being curious distillers they wondered what a spell in oak might achieve. That turned out to be a lengthy experiment indeed. For the first decade, virgin casks infused sweet vanilla, ginger and strong oak flavours. For the second decade, ex whisky barrels were employed. These allowed the wood to slowly impart greater depth, however the juniper dominant note typical of unaged gins subsided. To revive the botanicals, the liquid was blended with fresh London Dry at a ratio of 1-1. Following several experiments, the result captures the best of both worlds: New & old, deep & fresh. It looks like whisky, but the keynotes of gin come through strongly: Lavender potpourri, chamomile tea, distant peppercorns and cough lozenges repeat in a full-throttle attack. The creamy middle is rounded off by suggestions of orange zest, crushed pine needles, lemon chutney and light vanilla. With tongue tingling peppers to match the botanicals and oak, Fifty/50 is no gin for beginners, and more of a Winter treat than a Summer time refresher. Or if you prefer whisky, this may even swing you into another category. Other ingredients include coriander, cassia bark, cinnamon, angelica, orris root, liquorice, lemon and sweet orange peel. Batches are limited to around 2000 bespoke barrel-shaped bottles. 50% Alc./Vol.
Other reviews... because no-one has aged gin for twenty years, what does it taste like? Is it really like nothing I’ve ever tasted before? The answer is: absolutely. Although it looks more whisky than gin, it’s the opposite on the nose. It has that whisky complexity, yet also that hit of juniper and other aromas you associate more with gin. There’s a vanilla sweetness to it as well, with some oakiness and fresh citrus. It definitely makes you think: ‘Wow, what is this?’ On the palate the juniper is less evident, but the vanilla sweetness is emphasised by some caramel flavours too. The citrus is still there as well. On the nose it’s more like a gin, on the palate more like a whisky, and even reminded me of tequila. It’s super-smooth and warming going down, with a sweet aftertaste. So yes, it isn’t like anything I’ve ever tasted before, and it’ll be a long time before I taste anything like it again, I’m sure. - traveldistilled.com

Fishers Gin (500ml)UNITED KINGDOM$89. 99Bottle$1079.88 DozenABV: 44%Named for the men of the sea, and handsomely packaged to reference the tools of the trade. The brand was founded by Andrew Heald, a long-time drinks industry professional inspired by the botanicals of the Suffolk Coast. He told ginfoundary.com “We wanted to make a drink that encapsulates the flavours and diversity of wildlife on the English Coast. One cold and crisp spring morning I was walking along marshes near Southwold on the Suffolk coast, on some of the most beautiful RSPB land in the country and couldn’t believe how many interesting wild plants were growing. I was already involved with drinks production in France and Scotland and wondered how we could use these plants to make something as a tribute to this very English landscape. I immediately thought of gin.” Oxford University botanist, James Firth, was employed to decide which plants showed the most promise, while the team at Adnams Distillery were commissioned to produce the gin using their East Anglian barley base spirit. Apart from the usual suspects, such as juniper, coriander seed, caraway and angelica, more esoteric, coastal and /or foraged botanicals include spignel, wood aven, bog myrtle, rock samphire, wild angelica and wild fennel. Tasting note: Crystal clear. Brilliant clarity with strong legs. Piney juniper over orange sherbet and delicate black pepper. Saffron? Thyme? Lemon oregano? Coriander? Medium dry. Lots of super fresh citrus on the palate, in particular, orange zest, grapefruit and lemon, but contrasted with attractive dried-herbal notes. Concludes savoury, with hints of turmeric, white pepper and fresh juniper in the aftertaste. A distinctive and sophisticated integration of sweet and dry flavours. 44% Alc./Vol. -

- Four Pillars x Warner's Green Apple & Rhubarb Gin (700ml)Yarra Valley, Victoria, AUSTRALIA$89. 00Bottle$1068.00 DozenABV: 41.8%
Four Pillar's fifth Distiller Series gin takes fresh rhubarb and Yarra Valley apples and combines them with rich brown spices to make a gin that's bright, rich and full of depth. Using freshly pressed rhubarb shipped in from friends at Warner’s Distillery in the UK, this gin is basically apple and rhubarb crumble in a glass, but with a whole lot more freshness and maybe a touch more alcohol!
Post-distillation is where the rhubarb juice from Warner’s comes into play. In fact, three separate liquids are blended into the gin after distillation: rhubarb juice, apple juice and an apple cider spirit. The rhubarb juice is fresh and tangy, the apple juice brings a hint of sweetness and the apple cider spirit (or eau de vie if you’re fancy) adds depth and complexity as well as beautiful perfume aromatics. The resulting gin is fresh-fruit balanced with richer winter spices, perfect for enjoying in a G&T, a Highball or a Fruit Cup. 41.8% Alc./Vol.

Four Pillars 2022 Australian Christmas Gin (700ml)Yarra Valley, Victoria, AUSTRALIAReduced from $99.99$84. 99Bottle$1019.88 DozenABV: 43.8%While the recipe remains much the same, the labels for Four Pillars Christmas Gin change each year. The artwork on this, the seventh Christmas Gin label was created by the Australian painter, Jane Reynolds. Jane’s art is all about the relationship between colour, form and light. Jane has spent the last twenty years working as an animation artist and producer for visual effects in film and television. In late 2019, she decided to retire from the film industry to focus exclusively on fine art and by 2020 became a fully-fledged painter. For this year’s label, Jane was challenged to come up with one of her signature hyper-real compositions that celebrated the colour and iconography of Christmas. The result is an abstract Christmas tree scene with presents stacked around it, capturing all the elements of Christmas that make us love the festive season so much.
As for what's inside the bottle, once again, Christmas puddings are distilled, with the gin aged for a year in 100-year-old Muscat barrels. The resulting spirit captures aromatics of classic juniper with a hint of cinnamon, backed up by a rich palate and a hint of sweetness from the Muscat. We're serious about gin.
Distilleries both small and large from every continent on earth can now lay claim to a Gin. You could be cynical and suggest it's merely to maintain cash flow while more 'serious' barrel aged spirits mature. Gin is easy and cheap. After all, it's just flavoured vodka at the end of the day, right? That line of thinking misrepresents all this spirit can be in the hands of visionaries and fanatics. The freshest botanicals in high quality alcohol result in an exotic amalgam of accents and supporting notes that no white spirit can match. Perfumed complexity and bracing intensity are not the characteristics of every gin we taste - hence, it can't be that easy to achieve. From Navy Strength to organic to sloe gin, browse our range today. A long departure from the once "fuddy-duddy" association of the genre, Vickers, Gordon's and other ubiquitous brands are threatened to be swallowed in a giant yawn by the progressive, quality-savvy new-gin devotee. Trending classifications such as 'New Western' style (juniper evident but not dominant) are gaining prominence as are the use of indigenous botanicals and varied spirit bases, including non-grain. Barrel ageing is also gaining momentum. The vast improvement in quality has resulted in texture rich, neat/sipping friendly spirits. Yet, the traditional English and Dutch styles remain more relevant than ever in honouring the cocktail classics. Learn more today...
