Set up by former marketing director of Glenmorangie and whisky aficionado, Alex Nicol, Spencerfield Spirits prides itself on being a close-knit, family run business. Alex and his wife Jane are whole-heartedly dedicated to providing a quality niche alternative to the more conventional mainstream brands.

Inspired by Edinburgh’s rich naval heritage of cannons and the famous One O’clock Gun, Cannonball Gin lives up to its name, resurrecting a historic high-proof style that was once commissioned by the British Navy. Bottled at 57.2% ABV, it's defined by intense juniper and Oriental spice (in fact, it has twice the juniper content of Edinburgh's "Classic Gin", previously imported). Szechuan peppercorns add a spicy note while zesty lemon and orange balance out the citrus. The combination makes for a vigorously refreshing Dry Martini, served with a lemon twist to complement the gin’s peppery, zestier notes.
