George Dickel Reserve Collection 17 Year Old Tennessee Whiskey (375ml)
    Tennessee, UNITED STATES
    $499. 00
    Bottle
    $5988.00 Dozen
    ABV: 43.5%

Originally exclusive to Tennessee, this 'baby Dickel' is made from the distillery's standard mash - 84 percent corn, 8 percent rye and 8 percent malted barley. The main point of difference to the ubiquitous No. 8 and No.12 bottlings is its extra time in barrel, plus rarity.

Other reviews... Tennessee whiskey shall not be undersold in this flavorful version. Rich notes of caramel and vanilla developing in yellow cake batter with dark caramel, brown sugar, leather, toasted pecans, and hints of walnut, smoked apple, and honey. Then red fruit, baking spice, and complex butterscotch over a palate-coating mouthfeel that’s perfectly warm and balanced all over. As good as it is, it could be better with ten more proof points. Its light proof shows in a shorter-than-desired finish. 43.5% Alc./Vol.

George T. Stagg Barrel Proof 2020 Release 130.4 Proof (65.2%) Straight Bourbon Whiskey (750ml)
    Kentucky, UNITED STATES
    $799. 00
    Bottle
    $9588.00 Dozen
    ABV: 65.2%
Distilled in Spring 2005, the September 2020 (Annual release) was aged 15 Years, 4 Months. 59% of the whiskey was lost to evaporation.

Other reviews... Bakery notes, orange blossom, allspice, dark berries, raspberry preserves, butterscotch, chocolate, leather, and cedar chest integrate superbly on the nose. The show continues on a very full-bodied palate packed with dark fruit, orange slices, brown sugar, almond, cinnamon, and an overlay of allspice. A deliciously thick, viscous finish goes on and on, completing this tour de force with flavors of chocolate-covered marshmallows, cinnamon, more allspice, old leather, tobacco, and polished oak. Reviewed by: David Fleming (Winter 2020) 95 points - whiskyadvocate.com

After dropping to its lowest proof ever in 2019, Stagg returns to its usual 130 proof range. Interestingly, the usual robustness typically associated with Stagg doesn’t return with it to the same degree. Out of the gate, its nose is light, requiring extra time and a swirl of the glass to open up. Its palate follows in much the same way, lacking the typical Stagg bearhug that has come to define the brand. Spice is the showcase of the palate, overshadowing its medium-intensity vanilla and leather notes. It’s in its finish that the whiskey turns itself around as it grows in complexity and intensity, making for an exceptional finish. Far from being flawed, the 2020 Stagg struggles to reach the amazing heights of years past throughout its entire sip. It’s a solid drinker overall that at times is overshadowed by the company’s own ever impressive Stagg Jr. and its competition that have stepped up their game, offering comparable and worthy Stagg alternatives.

This limited-production bourbon whiskey distributed by Buffalo Trace Distillery, as part of the distillery's 'Antique Collection ' series has garnered a cult following - an uncut, unfiltered bourbon, aged for approximately 15 years distributed only once a year in limited quantities. These remarkable offerings have had Jim Murray exclaiming “…just what is it about George T. Stagg? The quality defies belief…!!”

This is the Spring 2005 "Lot B" release which was reportedly more numerous than the other bottlings from the same year (there were 3 releases in total for 2015, each can be identifed by their respective ABV.)

Other reviews... Distilled in 2001, this year’s release is a departure from recent releases, which were complex and nicely balanced. It’s more aggressive, with tannins and oak dominating, and lacking the body and sweetness to balance it. It’s my least favorite of this year’s offerings. Dark chocolate, toffee, tobacco, and dried fruit round out the palate and offer some comfort. Buffalo Trace Antique Collection 2016.

These remarkable offerings have had Jim Murray exclaiming “…just what is it about George T. Stagg? The quality defies belief…!!”

We have one bottle only to sell with some cellar bloom evident on label and glass.

Other reviews... The first release of Stagg was our 'American Whiskey of the Year' for 2003. I couldn’t imagine this one being better, but it is. This is a textbook example of what older, more mature bourbon should taste like: great depth and maturity, yet nicely balanced without excessive woodiness on the palate. It is spicier and creamier on the nose than the first bottling with more vanilla tones and not quite as dry on the finish. Indeed, it hints of a softer, gentler side. But with a name like Stagg, it can be nothing more than a hint. Other flavors you’ll enjoy in this bourbon include spearmint, teaberry, candied fruit, leather, and toffee. Given its high proof and reasonable price, it’s also a great value. (Like Campbell’s soup, just add water.) 94 points

Other reviews... Caramel. Caramel. Caramel. It comes early and remains to the finish. In between this caramel sandwich, it’s nutmeg, cinnamon, jasmine, rose petals, baked apples, fudge, pecan pie, peanut brittle, and roasted peanuts. Over a mouth-coating palate, its complexity tingles and every note plays just under the rich and layered caramel that presents itself as a chew on the extremely long finish. Other reviews... These Stagg releases are becoming legendary. This one, while not the best of the bottlings, maintains the Stagg reputation. When compared with the earlier release in 2005, this Stagg expresses a shade less oak. It’s also more subtle and creamier on the palate. It’s clean, superbly balanced, and very drinkable-even at higher strengths. Light toffee, maple syrup, and caramel corn provide a bed of sweetness. Layered on top are notes of candied fruit, crisp mint, vanilla, and polished oak. Soft finish. Just don’t add too much water to it because the flavors seem to lose their cohesiveness at lower strengths. Drink this whiskey at a strength higher than you normally would to fully appreciate it. 92 points

High West A Midwinter Nights Dram Straight Rye Whiskey (750ml)
    Park City, Utah, UNITED STATES
    $260. 00
    Bottle
    $3120.00 Dozen
    ABV: 49.3%

Named as a take off of Shakespeare's famous play, High West's blend of straight ryes sources whiskeys from MGP, however as of 2018 (the 6th Act), High West's own distillate is included. The mash bill of the two components is 95% rye / 5% barley (MGP), with an 80% rye / 20% malted rye mash bill from High West. The age of the whiskeys is said to be 4-7 years old, which is medium by rye standards. At the time of writing, we're onto the 8th edition. As this is a seasonal release (different 'vintages' are stated as different acts on the front label), batches will be subject to change without notice (the scene number just refers to different bottling days). The ryes are first aged in new, charred American oak, then blended and finished in French oak and ex-port barrels. Bottled at 49.3% and non chill filtered, the producers describe the flavour profile as being reminiscent of Christmas pudding.

Other reviews... The robust spicy rye notes are still present in the glass, but as it sits, red fruit tempers that just a bit. As you taste, the spicy rye comes again to the forefront along with vanilla and more red fruit. The finish is warm and spice filled with hints of chocolate and fresh whipped cream with a dash of white pepper. 92 points - distiller.com

[Sixth edition reviewed]... A nose of gingerbread, allspice, nutmeg, vanilla, and cinnamon melds with fragrant cedar chest, leather, and oak. The palate offers sweet blackberry, chocolate, raisins, and dried plums, along with toasted oak and tobacco, leading to a spicy finale. A beautiful balancing act and a wonderfully indulgent treat. 90 points - whiskyadvocate.com, reviewed by: David Fleming (Spring 2019)

...The proportion of each whiskey is not revealed, though all are at least five years old. If I had to guess, I’d peg the percentages at 65% bourbon, 20% rye, and 15% Scotch. All the elements are here, dominated by vanilla and honey-flavored nougat. The nose offers the smoke — inescapable in even a mildly peated Scotch — and that carries through on the body, especially on the finish of the whiskey. In the middle, more sweetness, and a racy spiciness that speaks to the rye. (Peat will dominate all of these elements any day, especially the rye, hence my relatively low proportion of Scotch on my estimated blending bill.) All in all, well, it works. High West even goes so far as to say “you may not like it at first” but I’m liking it from the get-go. All kinds of complexity here — tobacco leaf, tea, wood, leather, blackberries — but it all comes together in the end. Whiskey fans served blind will undoubtedly guess this is Scotch — Highlands, maybe — and that will surely serve to inform many a bar bet over the coming months until Campfire is sold out. The rest of us can simply enjoy it on its own merits. 2012 review. - drinkhacker.com

High West Very Rare 21 Year Old Rocky Mountain Rye Whiskey (750ml)
    Park City, Utah, UNITED STATES
    $999. 00
    Bottle
    $11988.00 Dozen
    ABV: 53%
Batch No.1 of a now incredibly rare High West bottling. One only.
Produced from a mash bill of 53% Rye, 37% Corn and 10% Malted Barley, this sourced whiskey (rumoured to be from Barton or LDI) was aged for over two decades in second fill (used) barrels, so technically it's not legally a “Rye.” (Almost all American-made whiskies are aged exclusively in new oak). Old oak as opposed to new oak means less wood influence allowing rye's peppery spice to shine through. Even better, it's non chill filtered.

Other reviews... If there was a dessert whiskey this would be it - smooth and sweet with a hint of spice. Smooth. So smooth. I can’t say it enough. It’s hard to believe this is 92 proof. It’s also hard to believe it’s even a rye and aged for 21 years in a barrel. It’s light in color and low on spice. I could drink this all day every day - I’d stock my shelves with this if it was available and more reasonably priced. This is an impeccably balanced whiskey with a delicious flavor profile. I find the Sazerac 18 to be subtle - this is like an even more subtle version of that. Don’t get me wrong, this is a phenomenal whiskey. However, the 21 years are not absolutely obvious, and it has less spice than I typically want in a rye. 53% Alc./Vol.

Hillrock Distiller's Reserve Dave's Pick #1 Barrel Proof Double Cask Rye Whiskey (750ml)
    New York State, UNITED STATES
    $399. 00
    Bottle
    $4788.00 Dozen
    ABV: 57.5%
One of the last whiskeys produced and selected by distilling legend, Dave Pickerell.

Before his untimely death in November of 2018, Dave Pickerell had established himself as a towering figure in the American whiskey industry. Fourteen years Master Distiller for Maker’s Mark, a luminary of whiskey knowledge and one of the nation’s pre-eminent distillers, he famously helped start WhistlePig and went on to consult to over one hundred distilleries. His final post was as Master Distiller for Hillrock Estate. Here in the Hudson Valley he was working to perfect what he’d started at WhistlePig: a true grain-to-glass estate rye: Grown, distilled, aged and bottled in the northeast, where rye whiskey originated with the founding fathers.

This is a rare opportunity to own not only a truly great rye, but one of the last whiskies produced and selected by the now legendary MD. The mash bill for this specially dedicated edition consists of 70% rye and 30% corn. Labelled as ‘Dave’s Pick #1’, it's a 6.5 year old whiskey aged first in a #3 char American oak barrel before moving to a #4 char barrel. While it needs a few minutes to dissipate the overwhelming dry, woody notes, the nose develops aromas of old books, leather, oak shavings, walnuts, cocoa, pepper and distant peppermint. It’s a fabulously robust, tactile, chewy rye that's expansive towards the finish, climaxing in a flood of coffee cake, vanilla cream and wood spices. The aftertaste adds flashes of rancio, caramel fudge and old fortified wine, checked by late tannins. As a single cask, it's difficult to compare with any mainstream rye. It comes bottled at high proof and limited to 623 hand-numbered decanters which are sure to be on collector's radars. 57.5% Alc./Vol.

We received a tiny amount only of this solera aged blend of sourced bourbon (provenance undisclosed) and Hillrock Estate distilled Bourbon. From Hillrock’s website: “‘Solera’ - a stack of barrels where a small portion of whiskey is removed periodically and new whiskey is added. No barrel is ever fully emptied, and age and complexity gradually increase over time. Hillrock marries small barrel-aged Hillrock Estate Bourbon with mature seed bourbon before finishing in 20 year-old Oloroso Sherry casks to balance the flavors and add layers of complexity… Current average age of the Hillrock Solera Bourbon is over 6 years and the rye content is approximately 37%.”

Other reviews... From master distiller Dave Pickerell, this estate-grown, field-to-flask offering makes good use of oloroso Sherry barrels. Look for peach and vanilla aromas, bold raisin and brown sugar flavors and a gentle exit that just hints at Sherry. At nearly 93 proof, the alcohol makes its presence known, so add some water or vermouth if you must. Attractive and substantial squared bottle.
    96 points - www.wineenthusiast.com

"...a wonderfully complex yet delicate bourbon that offers a rich experience in every aspect of its delivery, including its price tag. While Hillrock is no longer the only company offering a solera aged bourbon, it is still one of the few and will always be the original. What’s in the bottle is quite good, offering a delicate and complex, yet incredibly subtle bourbon that will be enjoyable for more experienced enthusiasts willing to take their time with it. At $90, it’s unlikely to become anyone’s daily drinker, though I doubt those who can appreciate a subtle, yet complex bourbon and who are willing to spend this amount of money on something a little different would regret the purchase. As their solera matures through many more years of permutations, I can only imagine the resulting bourbon will become even better. 46.3% Alc./Vol. - www.breakingbourbon.com

Beautifully oily and bitter rye character slides across the tongue on a wave of sweet caramel and vanilla. Young, but in the eager intensity of rye, not the clumsy heat of bourbon. Rye shines here, from the first whiff to the last bitter curl on the tongue, and the wood deftly sweetens and soothes. Nicely done.

These officers soon found themselves riding horseback in a Green Beret insertion in Northern Afghanistan to fight the Taliban. Honored at the America’s Response Monument at Ground Zero they have been given the nickname Horse Soldiers. These same men banded together to create American Freedom Distillery. Their 16,000 square-foot distillery is located in Downtown St. Petersburg, Florida, where they distill their Rekker Rum. Their whiskey is made in Ohio in conjunction with Middle West Spirits. A portion of the proceeds of every bottle sold by American Freedom goes towards maintaining the America’s Response Monument. A soft and sweet aroma makes up the heft of the nose, with touches of caramel, spice, and grain in tow. It’s followed by a gentle tasting palate that’s sweet and approachable, thanks to honey, vanilla, and lemon zest. It finishes with an impactful pop of oak and spice. Horse Soldier Bourbon Whiskey an easy sipper that non-bourbon drinkers will find very approachable. What the sip may lack in depth, it makes up in its easy drinkability. - breakingbourbon.com

Isaac Wolfe Bernheim (1848- 1945) was a Jewish businessman notable for starting the I. W. Harper brand of bourbon distilled at the Bernheim distillery in Louisville, Kentucky. The success of his distillery and distribution business helped to consolidate the Louisville area as a major distilling centre.

A new Bernheim Distillery was erected in 1992, with huge warehouses dominating the complex. The distillery continues to produce a number of whiskeys including the Old Charter range, the Old Fitzgerald's & W.L. Weller's amongst others.

Other reviews... Diageo has “brought I.W. Harper home” after years of absence from the U.S. market with this bottling and a base bottling. The source is “new” Bernheim, but with a different mashbill from the base; this is 86% corn. Nose is warm corn and oak, with some spicy clove and cinnamon notes. Great medium-weight body and balance, palate repeats the nose, oaky-sweet finish; well-integrated whiskey. But my eyes pop at the price.

Notes sourced from www.jackdaniels.com - This special bottle is the seventh in our Gold Medal series and honors the 1981 Institut Pour Les Selections De La Qualité in Amsterdam. It had been 27 years since the Jack Daniel Distillery had entered a Gold Medal competition, and much had happened with the Distillery during that time. Within two years of winning the 1954 Star of Excellence in Brussels, Belgium, Jack Daniel’s had experienced a 100 percent sales increase as well as a change in ownership. Lem Motlow’s four sons- Reagor, Robert, Hap and Conner – sold the Distillery to Brown-Forman Corporation in 1956. Jack Daniel’s continues to experience tremendous growth, with volume increasing tenfold by the end of the 1970’s. Our Tennessee Whiskey was being sold throughout the world and had developed a loyal and diverse following, from bankers to bikers, from movie stars to rock stars. Despite all the changes, however, there was nothing different about our commitment to making our whiskey. And we thought it was important to demonstrate that commitment by entering the Brussels-based Monde Section Institut Pour Les Selections De La Qualité in 1981. The judges awarded Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey the institution’s top medal, the “Grand Gold Medal with Palm Leaves,” during ceremonies held that year in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Another quarter of a century has passed, and we still adhere to Mr. Jack’s philosophy in making sure our whiskey is of the highest quality: “Every day we make it, we’ll make it the best we can.”

This special bottle is the sixth in the Jack Daniels Gold Medal Series and honors the 1954 Brussels Belgium Star of Excellence. This beautiful medal is as unique as the story behind it. The story goes that Reagor Motlow, one of Lem’s sons, received a letter about a whisky judging contest in Brussels, Belgium. He handed the letter to Herb Fanning, his right hand man and told him to take care of it. And indeed Mr. Herb did! He walked right out of the production line and pulled off the first three bottles and sent them on their way. According to Mr. Herb, when the folks from the advertising department found he had pulled whisky for the competition from the bottling line, they were a bit upset and asked him why he hadn’t looked for some special whisky for the judging. To this Mr.Herb exclaimed, “Why all Jack Daniels is special!” Later Mr. Herb, in recalling the story said he figured he might get fired over that, but about that time letter came announcing that Jack Daniels had won the star of Excellence!

The second letter seemed to set things right between Mr.Herb and the advertising team, because not only did Mr.Herb keep his job for many years before retiring, but he also appeared in quite a few Jack Daniels ads. Herb became one of Lynchburg’s best known and much loved citizens, and was a fixture on the Square until he passed away in 1997 at the ripe old age of 93. Mr.Herb’s lifelong love of and faith in Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey epitimozes the character of the people behind the Jack Daniel Brand. 45%Alc./Vol.

Jack Daniels Single Barrel Select Tennessee Whiskey (700ml) - Australian Selection
    Tennessee, UNITED STATES
    $84. 99
    Bottle
    $1019.88 Dozen
    ABV: 45%
A very limited Australian Selection JD has surfaced, labelled as such on the front of the box and bottle. This was reportedly a barrel especially selected by Jack Daniel's master taster Randy "Goose" Baxter for a group of Queensland retailers as contest prizes in 2017, so it could / should differ from the standard single barrel liquid.

It was once a privilege reserved for Jack Daniel's Master Distiller. Exploring the nuances of whiskey from a single barrel. Today, connoisseurs around the world can savor this experience on their own. Single barrel is another fairly recent addition to the Jack Daniel's stable. It differs in being the product of one unblended barrel, produced in miniscule quantities, bottled at it's peak. It is a deep amber coloured, full flavoured bourbon, stylistically true to the traditional Jack Daniel's Old No.7. Handsomely packaged in a decanter style bottle. 45%alc./vol.

Conversely, it was released in 1999 (one year shy of the official anniversary year) to the frustration of collectors.  As a comical side note; the distillery has chosen to celebrate Jack's birthday for the entire month of September, due to the ambiguity that surrounds his date of birth and the lack of records kept at the time.

McLain & Kyne is not a distillery, but a 'non-distiller producer' located in Louisville Kentucky. Founded by well known Bourbon historian, Chet and son Trey Zoeller over fifteen years ago (1997), they often source small unique lots of Bourbon which larger distilleries don't find profitable enough to distribute. Roughly 3-4 different bourbon recipes from 8-12 barrels are blended to create the varying ‘very small batch’ Jefferson's labels (Jefferson’s, Reserve, Presidential and Rye) – a miniscule number compared to other ‘small batch’ offerings that often blend up to 200-300 barrels per release.

Brand owners, Castle Brands have been breaking new ground with these extra-aged releases, surprisingly, this 25 year old release is this isn't the oldest bottling they produce, with a 30 year old having been previously brought to market.  Extremely limited.

Other Reviews...Lots of people argue that the older a bourbon gets the more likely it is to be bad bourbon. The more time in the wood the more like wood it’s going to taste. While this one is definitely got oak in spades it isn’t drowning in it. But, and this is a big one, the other flavors and aromas are light and harder to pick out if you’re not an experienced bourbon drinker. This one is better enjoyed with regular drinkers of bourbon, especially older bourbons, so they can truly appreciate what’s in it – and what’s not. - Patrick Garret (www.bourbonbanter.com)

This is a wheat heavy Bourbon distilled in the Fall of 1991 and aged in Stitzel-Weller Barrels (from the distillery that gave us Pappy Van Winkle and early unicorn Old Fitzgerald bottlings).

Other reviews... I’ve tasted several batches of this whiskey (made at the old Stitzel-Weller distillery), from the inaugural Batch #1 when it was a 17 year old, to this new release. It’s not surprising that they taste progressively older. My favorite is still the first batch, but this whiskey holds up nicely and shows a similar flavor profile with a bit more wood influence: blackberry jam, nutty toffee, nougat, creamy vanilla, cinnamon, and a touch of polished oak on the finish. Nice texture, too, with good viscosity and grip on the finish.

"...a soothing and delightfully refined bourbon experience." - drinkhacker.com

In 2021, the number one-selling Bourbon brand in the world launched 'Lineage' – an ultra-luxe edition exclusive to travel retail. Distilled in 2004, it's the first collaboration between father and son, Fred and Freddie Noe and also marks the first time a Beam bottling bears Freddie’s name. The presentation is one of the best for Beam fans in recent decades; a wooden box with a brass placard engraved with batch and bottle number houses a chunky rectangular decanter topped by a large multifaceted stopper. The bespoke vessel also features the iconic Jim Beam seal, making the whiskey instantly recognisable. It looks every part a premium offering, backed up by what's inside the bottle.
The liquid was aged in Warehouse K and dumped at a much higher proof than normal (55% ABV), so you can expect everything you love about Beam to be amplified; notes of spice, vanilla and caramel lead into a perfectly balanced, warming finish. Fred Noe comments: “Lineage represents a significant moment in the history of Jim Beam. Not only is it a collaboration between the seventh and eighth generation of distillers in our family, but it’s a blend of the past, the present and the future. Having spent a lot of time exploring travel retail outlets in my time, it was important to me to offer something special to travellers – especially during these trying times. Launching a product exclusively to travel retail is not something we often do, so we are excited to bring such a unique expression to our friends in airports across the world.”

Ed Stening, Head of Marketing Global Travel Retail at Beam Suntory, adds: “The collaboration between Fred and Freddie is a landmark moment in Jim Beam’s long-standing history. The chemistry between the father and son duo is undeniable and has led to the creation of a truly unique whiskey. Championing innovation like this in travel retail is extremely important to us and something we’re committed to as we look to ensure the growth of the channel now and in the future.”

Other reviews... There’s instantly a lot to love here, and I don’t say that lightly. This is an exuberant, well-made product. The nose is just overflowing with spice, beautifully mixed with toasty oak, sesame, and a touch of peanut shell. Hints of tea leaf emerge with time in glass, giving the whiskey a certain exotic character. The palate again shows powerful bursts of baking spice and a smattering of fresh, green herbs. Butterscotch and, unusually, gingerbread notes quickly come to the fore, with notes of cloves and dark caramel washing over the experience in waves. Warming and satiating, the whiskey is even better with a little water, letting notes of chocolate and a stronger, brighter caramel note come to the fore. A gentle layer of spice lingers on the finish, making for a soothing and delightfully refined bourbon experience. This is a much different experience than Beam’s last 15 year old expression, Knob Creek 15 Years Old, so don’t feel like you’re doubling up if you’re considering adding both to your collection. - drinkhacker.com

The American whiskey industry is taking a leaf out of the Scot's marketing manual, offering increasingly rare and extravagantly packaged bottlings at the high end of the market. This new addition to the Beam family even employs x-Sherry butts, a practice synonymous with Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

The "Distiller's Masterpiece" is being promoted as the most exclusive offering within the Beam family, initially released in limited quantities at the Jim Beam American Stillhouse in Clermont, Kentucky in time for the famous horse races of May. It is an extra-aged Kentucky Straight Bourbon bottled at 100 proof, barrel finished in Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry casks located in an optimal rack-house position.
Beam have not disclosed the age of the whiskey.

Other reviews... ...“Extra-aged” bourbon finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The third Distiller’s Masterpiece release, the previous two being over a decade ago. The PX sherry is certainly evident, with its lush, dark fruit (raisin, prune, ripe plum), marmalade, and layered dark sugars (toffee, molasses, maple syrup). A peppering of spices (cinnamon, allspice, vanilla) and dry, resinous oak round out the palate. Certainly a mood whiskey. Beam started producing whiskey decanters in 1952. Hundreds were turned out in every imaginable shape and size, from American muscle cars to drunken deputies. This edition replaced the younger wooden top version and comes packaged with a gold plastic head. Probably stemming from the 1970s, it's an 8-year old Bourbon.

Aged for twenty years - a remarkable degree of maturity for any American whiskey, three thousand 375ml bottles were produced. We have one only from a private collection.

The cube shaped decanters are decorated with a gold and platinum key graphic, which hearkens back to the Larceny logo and commemorates Fitzgerald’s role as the treasury agent who held the keys to the warehouse. The bottles have an ornate satin finish metal closure with a cork, and a strip stamp on the neck and the face label both prominently feature the 20 Year old age statement. In addition, each bottle comes packed inside a handmade wooden box with die-cut keyholes and hinged doors that close with magnets.

With a mouthfeel that will take bourbon fans on a flavorful ride, this is master blender Dixon Dedman's highest-proof batch to-date at 127.6-proof and 63.8% alcohol-by-volume. To best enjoy this dynamic bourbon, Dedman recommends pouring it neat and letting it breathe. This release is made with four different distillates from four different mash bills, including a 15-year old, two different lots of 14-year old, a 12-year old, a seven-year old and a six-year old distillate. Dedman adds, "This is the most robust Kentucky Owl batch I've ever created. It may be the most flavorful liquid ever bottled for the brand. To me, it's a bourbon monster in the best way possible. I hope it's something both serious and casual whiskey drinkers appreciate.Bourbon Batch #9 has an intensity and a boldness in its complexity that really make it stand out from Dixon's past releases," added Lee Tatum, managing director for Kentucky Owl.
