This site can ripen rapidly, but Glantenay appears to have picked the 2022 Volnay 1er Cru Les Santenots at the perfect date, delivering a medium to full-bodied, velvety and harmonious wine evocative of sweet cherries, dark berries, licorice and spices. Supple and seamless, with sweet, powdery tannins, it will offer a broad drinking window.

William Kelley - Wine Advocate (Jan 19, 2024)The 2022 Volnay Les Santenots 1er Cru was completely de-stemmed as Glantenay finds that the terroir already provides sufficient tannins. The nose is delineated and focused with blackberry, bilberry and light oyster shell scents. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannins. Plenty of freshness here, quite citric in style, with white pepper and clove towards the finish. Good persistence and freshness. This should mature with class. Drink 2026-2046.

The 2022 Volnay 1er Cru Clos des Chênes is the ripest, most dramatic wine in the cellar, as is often the case, bursting with aromas of cherries, plums, spices and petals, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and voluminous palate, with a sweet core of fruit framed by rich structuring tannin.

William Kelley - Wine Advocate (Jan 19, 2024)The 2022 Volnay Clos des Chênes 1er Cru contains 25% to 30% whole bunches this vintage. The energetic bouquet offers redcurrant and raspberry fruit, fine mineralité and tension. Hints of black truffle shavings emerge with time. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins. There’s a liberal sprinkling of black pepper here, the stem addition perhaps the most tangible amongst the cuvées yet commensurate with the fruit concentration. This is another success for the estate in 2022. Drink 2026-2046.

Aromas of raspberries, red plums, rose petals and spices introduce the 2022 Volnay 1er Cru Les Caillerets, a medium to full-bodied, pure and ethereal wine with an elegantly textural attack that segues into a vibrant core of fruit that's framed by supple, almost melting tannins, concluding with a saline finish.

William Kelley - Wine Advocate (Jan 19, 2024)The 2022 Volnay Les Caillerets 1er Cru is blended with 50% whole bunches, the most of any cuvée in Glantenay's range. The stems are quite potent on the nose, very floral - wilted roses in an antique vase, crushed stone and a touch of truffle oil. The palate is medium-bodied with brittle tannins. Quite saline, which gets the saliva flowing. This is perhaps the most powerful wine on the finish, with a long, spicy aftertaste. Excellent. Drink 2026-2048.

The attractive nose offers blackberry, wild strawberry, crushed stone and light briny scents evoking images of the sea. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red and black fruit. 2022 Glaetzer Anaperenna Shiraz Cabernet SauvignonBarossa Valley, South Australia, AUSTRALIA$49. 99Bottle$599.88 DozenABV: 15%Closure: CorkRich and dense yet refined, this classic blend combines the generosity of Shiraz with Cabernets structure.
A blend of 82% Shiraz and 18% Cabernet Sauvignon. The Shiraz vines are aged between 30 and 100 years old, and the Cabernet between 30 and 130. Yields are 2.5 tonnes per hectare with the fruit fermented in 1 and 2 tonne open fermenters and hand plunged 3 times daily. Matured for 16 months in 100% new oak hogshead barrels (92% French and 8% American).
Impenetrable black as night heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. A heady mix of blackberry, liquorice and blackcurrant scents greet the nostrils followed by some dark plum, vanillin cedar, subtle earthy tobacco and bay leaf notes. Rich and dense yet refined, blackberry, liquorice and dark plum fruits seamlessly integrate with Cabernets blackcurrant component. Possessing fine grained tannins together with a vivid freshness, spicy vanillin cedar, delicate earthy tobacco and pepper elements linger across the back half. Expressive yet showing great definition and brimming with energy, it finishes long and elegant.

The 2022 Anaperenna Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon is so attractive on the nose, with red berries and roses, abundant, glossy fruits and an attractive balance of spice to go with it. These Glaetzer wines are full-bodied yet sleek, and while this is certainly ripe, it is in no way dull or overdone because of that. It has notes of raspberry, dark chocolate, cherry (ripe in its way) and licorice. There are layers of jubes/pastilles, plump fruit, earth and plenty of ductile tannin, and oak is tucked away in there too—all things writ large yet svelte. 15% alcohol, sealed under screw cap. Drink 2024-2037.

Erin Larkin – Robert Parker’s The Wine AdvocateA deeply coloured cabernet sauvignon, one possessed of opulent black-fruited heft and a slightly broody disposition. Ben Glaetzer's wines are no wallflowers. There is no expectation of pontificating on space or filigree. You just stare at the glass, google-eyed at its latent power and opulence. Not a herbaceous bone in this wine's torso. Just thick black fruits, licorice, earth, graphite, fine, sandy tannins and a smooth, hydraulically consistent flow of rich fruit far into the distance. Drink by 2043.

Exceptional old vine Ebenezer fruit has been brought in to create this wonderfully expressive Barossa blend. The Shiraz from vines up to 100 years old and the Cabernet up to 130 years old. It’s a remarkable resource that Glaetzer has harnessed expertly to capture every last bit of that intensity and power. Rich, dark chocolate and blackberry plummy flavours swirl through a dense and concentrated palate. Having said all that, it retains an elegance and gracefulness. Drink 2025-2045.

Ray Jordan - WinePilot.com
The great Aussie red blend from a top year and a producer nearing cult status. This is heavily Shiraz dominant – 82%, to just 18% Cabernet. From the Ebenezer sub-region, the yield overall is just two and a half tonnes per hectare. The Shiraz vines range in age between 30 and 100 years, while the Cabernet is even more impressive, between 30 and 130 years. The wine spent sixteen months maturing in hogsheads, all new, with 92% of them French and the remaining 8% American. Under cork. This is a bit special. An opaque maroon, we have notes of blackberries, cold tea, chocolate and mocha with some soy, bay leaves, dried herbs and graphite also evident. A wine with a supple texture and immense length, this is seamless, with the intensity never wavering for a moment. There is oak, but it is immaculately handled and simply adds to the overall impression of a brilliant wine. Fifteen years ahead of it, without a hiccup. It is cracking buying. Drink 2025-2040.

Whole-bunch pressed to French for native-yeast barrel fermentation. A cool year brings a tightly coiled expression. Oak frames cool ripeness; white peach and nectarine, green apple and lemon oil, with stone fruit kernel, hazelnut and ginger notes complexing. Such a sense of pride with the inaugural release of Mike Symon’s wines. He spent 13 or so years at Stonier, but these days he’s gone back to basics – vineyard work, hands-on winemaking – although he always did that. And he’s the winemaker at Scorpo. The peninsula is his patch. This a blend of two sites: Coolart Creek vineyard in Merricks, which he manages, and Stanley Road, previously known as Jimjoca, which he oversees for Scorpo. Hand-picked fruit, whole-bunch pressed to old puncheons, no mlf and aged nine months. This is very, very good. Floral and spicy with white nectarine, lemon, freshly sliced apple and some ginger powder. It’s a little chalky with wafts of truffley lees, the palate very fine with a saline tang to the acidity and a lingering finish. Drink 2024-2033.

Jane Faulkner - Halliday's Australian Wine CompanionMike Symons, ex of Stonier, now at Scorpo, is a top fellow. Certainly knows his way around the Mornington Peninsula. This is a new project for him, and the inaugural release. This comes from a blend of two vineyards in Merricks – Coolart Creak and Stanley Road (nee Jimjoca). Two three year old puncheons. No malo. The wines are made at Scorpo, which they share with Barney Flanders of Garagiste, so help them. Morning(ton) tea must be an interesting affair. I did my own bottle image. Not too shabby really, albeit a little wonky.
Intense Chardonnay here. A whole lot of flavour and tight acidity with it. Nectarine, pink grapefruit, biscuit spice and cedar, some aniseed and something of a tangy yoghourt character. It’s flinty and chalky, it has almost no struck match and all that stuff, more about fruit and subtle, but present, oak, there’s some preserved lemon here too, with a zesty finish offering quite some acid bite and excellent length. Very good. Drink 2024-2031+

2022 Chateau d'YquemSauternes, Bordeaux, FRANCE$999. 00Bottle$11988.00 DozenABV: 13.5%Closure: CorkAs the only Sauternes property classified as Premier Cru Superieur, drinking a bottle of Chateau d'Yquem is an experience unlike any other. Situated in the epicentre of prime sweet wine production in France, their unique position and wealth of soil profiles allows d'Yquem to produce wines of enormous complexity with consistent accumulation of botrytis often in years when others struggle.
The 2022 Chateau d’Yquem is a vintage shaped by extremes—the driest and hottest year on record at the estate, with an exceptionally early start to the season. Noble rot developed late, and a dramatic shift in mid-October led to rapid concentration, resulting in Yquem’s most opulent wine since 1945, with 160 g/L residual sugar. Despite the richness, meticulous blending and shorter elevage ensure remarkable freshness and balance in this extraordinary Sauternes.
Other Reviews....
A blend of 80% Sémillon and 20% Sauvignon Blanc, the 2022 d'Yquem is a strong candidate for the title of wine of the vintage. Exhibiting a remarkably delicate, complex and energetic bouquet of rose, confit citrus, exotic fruits and orange marmalade, it's full-bodied, dense and deep with a pristine balance enhanced by a fleshy core of fruit, bright acids and beautiful, gastronomic bitterness and dry extracts that segue to a long, ethereal, delicately perfumed and refined finish. Lorenzo Pasquini and his team have perfectly understood the vintage by privileging the third tries, fully exposed to Botrytis cinerea, in the blend, bringing density and precision along with an energetic and splendidly balanced interplay of bitterness and sweetness. Residual sugar levels reach 160 grams per liter, marking it as the second-highest since the iconic 1945 vintage. Drink 2034-2074.
98 points
Yohan Castaing - Wine Advocate (Jan 17, 2025)The 2022 Yquem is a blend of 80% Sémillon and 20% Sauvignon Blanc with 160 g/L residual sugar and a total acidity of 5.39 g/L. It is the first certified organic vintage for the estate and has the lowest level of total sulphur ever: 234 g/L, high within the sphere of wine but comparatively low for Sauternes. The 2022 was aged for 24 months in new barrels that underwent slightly less drying than those used for red wines in order to retain some green tannins. Given the growing season, the 2022 Yquem has a surprisingly understated bouquet that demands coaxing. Scents of orange pith, passion fruit and quince are exquisitely defined, a hint of chamomile dancing around in the background. The palate is medium-bodied. Given the high level of residual sugar, what is surprising is that the 2022 does not seem a weighty or texturally unctuous Yquem, yet there is an intensity and concentration that is arresting. Vivid flavours of clementine, wild honey, quince and tangerine that effortlessly combine. The acidity almost nonchalantly counters the sensation of residual sugar, so it feels less than it actually is, the scintilla of salinity toward the finish tempting you back for more. This is a marvellous and quite cerebral Yquem for which patience is required. Drink 2030-2100.

Neal Martin - VinousA perfect Yquem again after the 2021, which is fresher and more refined than the 2022. The perception of sweetness is super-knit. Lots of botrytis, with turmeric, saffron, cream, roasted meringue, pine nuts, spices and dried mangoes. This is a powerful, seductive and lush wine. Ornamented and richer this year than 2021, but there is so much charm and harmony. Long and spicy, with a hint of petrol at the end. Wow. The second most concentrated Yquem after 1945, according to the winemaker. About 160 grams of residual sugar. So approachable now, but better in five or six years. It will live forever.
100 points
James SucklingCombining incredible power, sweetness, and opulence with racy acidity and a touch of bitterness on the backend offsetting all the rich, honey-slathered fruits, it takes only a single sniff and sip to discern that this is one of the great vintages produced by Chateau d'Yquem. That says a lot, considering all the fabulous vintages the estate has crafted. The palate showcases its wealth of honeyed fruits alongside Indian spices and a vibrancy found in no other sweet wine. The wine envelops your palate, teeth, and gums leaving you with a zesty finish that lingers for a full 60 seconds and more! This is a legend in the making! Like all great vintages of Chateau d'Yquem, you can enjoy this with pleasure in its youth, with its sweet, ripe fruits showcasing a unique sense of honeyed purity, or you can save it for your grandchildren. It's an unusual combination, but oh, how it works. This wine from the cooler '21 vintage is one of the best. This seems to be a very good JB Riesling. Lemongrass, lime leaf, lime, a bit floral and spicy, with a distinct gin and tonic bite and some bathtime fun perfume. It has a powdery texture, a crisp and lively character, blackcurrant and lavender, and pretty bloody good length. Maybe there’s a little bit of ruggedness to it, but gee, it’s frisky and delicious. Superb aged riesling, always released to excellent effect following a decade of bottle age. Light-weighted, with an intensity of flavor and precision that belies its balletic gait. Think spiced quince, honeydew, candied citrus, lemon balm and a faint whiff of kerosene. Yet there is nothing untoward here. The acidity is nicely nestled into what feels like an almost plump mid-palate after the effects of ageing. This is a cooler block on this esteemed site, its wine really sitting pretty. Drink now. Clase Azul Gold Tequila (750ml)Jalisco, MEXICO$650. 00Bottle$7800.00 DozenABV: 40%Note: Product has come from a private collection and as such may have some minor scuffing/scratches/handling marks.
The name Clase Azul, meaning 'blue class', was inspired by the blue agaves used to make their spirits. This is probably the most unusual product in their line up - a blend that melds Clase Azul Plata with a special Reposado matured in French oak, and an Extra Añejo aged in x Bourbon barrels. The final combination is finished in Pedro Ximénez (sweet) sherry casks. It's also one of the most sleek and silky, which will no doubt put some traditionalists off. At times, the profile seems to almost wander into rum territory, the agave so delicately expressed you might fail to notice it amidst the sweet oak. You have to dig deep to appreciate the subtleties here, the agave being low-key, merely hinting at roasted green capsicums, dill pickle, white pepper and tobacco, gathering more traditional tequila vibrancy after air contact. It's a remarkably finessed, elegant, soft expression of the spirit, best reserved for standalone sipping. Alternatively, the producers suggest matching it with brie, tangerines or white chocolate. 40% Alc./Vol.
Notes from the producers... Toasted wood, agave nectar, orange peel, almond and hints of fresh fig, raisin and walnut. Cooked agave, almond and fig marmalade with a long finish of cacao and dried plum. The Clas Azul brand can be instantly recognised by their stunning decanters. Tradición Mazahua, founded in 2007, is a ceramic workshop where artisans dedicate themselves to creating the vessels as a tribute to Mexican culture. In this example, the ceramic base is adorned by two hand painted 24-karat gold ribbons, while the glass is inspired by the spectacular incandescence of Mexican sunsets.
- Clase Azul Guerrero Mezcal (750ml)Oaxaca, MEXICO$650. 00Bottle$7800.00 DozenABV: 42%
Please note: due to the matte textured finish on these decanters, they are sensitive to touch and may show minor scuff marks. This is unavoidable. The producers recommend rinsing them under running water to maintain their finish. Avoid using rags or paper products to clean the decanter.
A brand beloved by many a tequila and Mezcal fan, Clase Azul has recently added several new additions to the line up. "Guerrero" is crafted using the Papalote agave, a unique species native to the humid highlands of Guerrero in Mexico's south. Alternatively known as agave cupreata, it imparts a distinct character to the resulting mezcal, drawing influence from the region's coastal landscape and verdant forests: Think grapefruit zest, freshly cut wood, rosemary and toasted peanuts, hints of butter and daisies on the nose, with seaweed, lemon juice, pepper, and light tobacco on the palate. Notable is the fact that the agaves are milled by hand, rather than using a donkey and tahona or mechanical mill. The manual process is said to retain more of the plant's flavours while adding length and body to the distillate. Followers of Clas Azul will appreciate the stunning hand-crafted decanter, in particular, the vibrant cap featuring hummingbirds, lacquered by artisans according to traditional techniques. For anyone who caves into actually opening a bottle, try pairing it with fresh goat's cheese or white chocolate. 42% Alc./Vol. Kosher certified.

The 2022/2023 growing season in the Barossa Valley continued the region’s run of cool vintages, with near-record rainfall—53 days of rain in spring alone—delivering exceptional vineyard health. Warm but moderate summer conditions, with no extreme heat days, allowed for perfect ripening and flexibility in harvest timing. A late start to picking meant fruit arrived in the cool of autumn, with excellent condition and balance.
The 2023 Harold underent wild fermentation for 9–11 days in stainless steel, with extraction managed via manual plunging, pigeage, delestage, and open-air pump-overs. Basket pressing preceded maturation in seasoned barrels, where malolactic fermentation completed. The wine shows an intense and distinctive nose of tobacco leaf, tamarind, celeriac, and white pepper, with a palate of dark cherry, orange rind, and Campari-like florals. Assertive tannins and spice frame its pure, energetic character, ensuring graceful aging potential.

The first thing I noticed upon opening the bottle was a ripe, confectionery-like aroma that filled the room. After a bit of breathing, red cherry, strawberry, plum and black tea came forth to round out the delightful nose, with some stemminess obvious once you inspected the wine a bit closer. It had a juicy, salivating quality to it that made it very easy to drink up the bright, silky liquid, and it was even a touch better on the second night. Like the Chardonnay, it’s just as nice as a sipper or with food.

2023 Sailor Seeks Horse ChardonnayHuon Valley, Tasmania, AUSTRALIA$69. 99Bottle$839.88 DozenABV: 13.1%Closure: StelvinSailor Seeks Horse is a tiny vineyard that's one of Australia’s most southerly, located in the Huon valley in southern Tasmania. Owners Paul and Gilli Lipscombe have brought considerable vineyard and winemaking experience to this venture, and they've been producing outstanding Pinot Noir and Chardonnay here for over a decade.
In 2010 Paul and Gilli planted four Dijon clones of Chardonnay (95, 96, 76 & 277) in two sections of the vineyard over 2 hectares. Winemaking is tailored to the season, yet generally involves whole bunches pressed and allowed to 'hyperox' before settling for 12 hours in tank. It's then racked into 300l hogsheads of which 20% is new. Fermentation uses wild yeasts, generally no MLF, and the wine is then aged for 12 months with full lees.

There's a little more aromatic concentration this year methinks. Still resplendent in its ripe white peach and citrus fruits, flecked with spiced oatmeal, clotted cream, meadow wildflowers, grilled cashews, nougat, distant struck flint and nicely judged vanillin oak. Stony and nicely focused on the palate with a briny sapidity and impressive tension between fruit and line. It finishes savoury and very moreish and that is a big win. Drink 2025-2032.

2023 Francois Cotat Sancerre Grande CoteSancerre, Loire Valley, FRANCE$180. 00Bottle$2160.00 DozenABV: 13%Closure: CorkThe domaine of Francois Cotat is a tiny 4 hectares, and has been making some of the most exceptional wines of the Loire since 1947. Their success and individuality can be attributed to François' intense passion for creating the finest wine possible and his exceptionally placed vineyards. Prudent viticulture combined with densely planted vines, ultra-low yields and relatively late harvesting produces fantastically flavoursome fruit. Whilst not Biodynamic, Francois uses organic fertilisers and racks according to the phases of the moon. His incredible wines develop with age and, in the best vintages, can be cellared for more than 30 years.
This vineyard is where François has his oldest vines, these days the average age is about 40 years because he has had to replant many of the very old vines as the Sauvignon is susceptible to viruses as it ages and so past 60 years old the vine is usually close to unproductive. This vineyard produces the most flamboyant wines in this collection, there are subtle notes of orchard fruit and more power but don't let that fool you as it is all aligned to incredible finesse, cool acidity and tactile minerality. These are very special bottles.

Bottled early to retain freshness, these wines are approachable and ready to enjoy upon release. ourced from the lower northeastern slope of Denton View Hill, this Chardonnay, primarily P58 clone with touches of Gin Gin and Mendoza, was wild-fermented, underwent full malolactic fermentation, and aged on lees in stainless steel for 11 months. Fresh and bright, it offers citrus and tropical notes, subtle creaminess, and crisp acidity—an easy-drinking yet poised Chardonnay.
Brilliant pale straw to straw colour with greenish tinted edges and a watery hue. Nectarine and citrus aromas intermingle with hints of bees wax, cashew and lemon butter. Rich, creamy textured flavours of peach, nectarine and dried honey overlay a back drop of cashew, subtle biscuity nougat and spice. Excellent volume and concentration across the palate with a long enveloping conclusion.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

Whole-bunch pressed and fermented with 100% mlf in both stainless steel and older French oak. Bottled without fining or filtration. A deepish, bright green gold. Aromas of fully ripe orchard fruits, a little fresh guava even and some lemon verbena. Luscious, in a good way, on the palate, backed up by a fine vein of acidity. A gentle pithiness on the finish. Drink 2024 - 2027.

2022 Domaine Alain Graillot Crozes-HermitageCrozes Hermitage, Northern Rhone, FRANCE$120. 00Bottle$1440.00 DozenABV: 12%Closure: CorkAlain Graillot has proved beyond a doubt that it is possible to make rich wines from the gently sloped alluvial plain where the Isère River meets the Rhone. His concentrated reds demonstrate all that is exciting about the Syrah grape: black fruit, intense aromaticity, pepper and spice complexity underpinned by crisp acidity and fine tannins.
Graillot works organically, harvesting fruit by hand and fermenting in whole bunches. He chooses to age his wines in used barrels, one to three-years-old, purchased from Burgundy’s best estates. His Crozes-Hermitage is difficult to resist young. Despite the tannins that inevitably come from the inclusion of whole bunches in fermentation, Graillot wines are seldom hard-edged, overly tannic, or in need of extended cellaring. In fact, they are often flat-out delicious very soon after release. That being said, their track record for rewarding patient cellaring is exemplary.
Other Reviews....
A textural, balanced and harmonious red with such patina already. The nose shows notes of dark cherries, fresh plums, forest floor and warm spices. Medium-bodied with fine tannins. Dense and velvety, with a kick of peppercorns. Juicy, vivid and fresh finish. Drink or hold.

Lochlea Our Barley Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml) - DAMAGED GIFT BOXLowlands, SCOTLANDReduced from $119.99$114. 99Bottle$1379.88 DozenABV: 46%For a few years in the late 18th century, Lochlea was the home and workplace of the famous Scottish poet, Robert Burns. The farm was acquired in 2006 and current owner, Neil McGeoch gained planning permissions in 2014. Despite converting the former piggery, byre and midden into a distillery and repurposing the cattle sheds into bonded warehouses, Lochlea is and remains a working farm, which is what sets it apart from almost every other Scotch whisky distillery. All of the required barley is grown in the fields surrounding the facility. The man in charge of production is Malcolm Rennie who has worked for some of the Scotch industry's biggest names, including Bruichladdich, Ardbeg and Kilchoman. He brings with him more than thirty years of whisky-making nous. Having started production in August 2018, the current offerings are around 3-4 years old. 'Our Barley' is based on a recipe honed by ex-Laphroaig Manager, John Campbell and is comprised of a combination of maturations across first-fill Bourbon barrels, Oloroso Sherry casks, and shaved-toasted-recharred (STR) barriques. It's the distillery's first core bottling and showcases what the producer's describe as Lochlea's signature fruitiness. 46% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
Notes from the producers... Nose: Pear syrup, fruit bonbons, warm cut grass, marmalade. Palate: Golden syrup, pepper, rye bread, macadamia nuts, cream soda. Finish: Long finish with a lasting orange beeswax note.

2022 Radikon Sivi Pinot GrigioFriuli-Venezia, ITALY$99. 99Bottle$1199.88 DozenABV: 13.5%Closure: CorkThe late Stanislao (Stanko) Radikon’s bold decision in the 1990s to embrace extended skin contact and natural winemaking, alongside his neighbour Josko Gravner, played a pivotal role in the global rise of amber/orange wines. Over the course of 36+ vintages Stanko, and now his son Sasa, have remained uncompromising in their pursuit of wines that are pure expressions of their Friulian terroir, rejecting chemical additives, temperature control, and sulphur. Rooted in the traditions of Stanko’s grandfather, the Radikon estate in Oslavia focuses on Ribolla Gialla, with vineyards planted on steep clay and shale slopes, meticulously farmed by hand. Since 1995, Stanko progressively returned to historical methods, extending maceration from 7 days to 3 months and eliminating sulphur entirely by 2002, crafting age-worthy wines that are, in Stanko's words, "totally genuine." While the core of the estate was formed around plantings of Ribolla Gialla, Stanko’s parents also added small parcels of Merlot, Tocai Friulano and Pinot Grigio.
Sivi is 100% Pinot Grigio that spends eight to ten days macerating on the skins.
Other Reviews....
The 2022 Bianco Sivi, Radikon’s 100% Pinot Grigio that spends eight to ten days macerating on the skins, is a vivid, dark, pink color with violet hues. This is wonderfully fresh and floral with a spicy bouquet that blends rose petals with ginger and incense. It’s potent and savory in style, with juicy acidity to balance the depths of tart citrus and wild berry fruits that cascade throughout. The 2022 tapers off with a balance of sweet spice and cheek-puckering citrus, adding remarkable contrasts through the long and perfumed finale. Drink 2024-2029.
