Showstopping 2019 Barolo Releases

After the issues experienced in 2018, where quality was highly variable amongst producers and crus, Barolo strikes back in 2019 with an outstanding vintage. Although temperatures were high in summer, 2019 resulted in an elegant and refined vintage where structure and complexity are prominent, without the characters commonly associated with hot vintages. As with all classic Barolos, these wines are stunning and precise on release but will only improve with cellaring time, once their youthful character will find a more complete balance.

This collection encompasses producers from across the region, with Ratti in La Morra, Luigi Pira in Serralunga, Conterno Fantino in Monforte, Vietti in Castiglione and G.D. Vajra in Barolo.
