Produttori del Barbaresco: 2021 Single-Vineyard Riservas

Produttori del Barbaresco is rightly considered one of the greatest cooperatives in the world. Founded in 1958, its roots trace back to 1894 when Domizio Cavazza established the original “Cantine Sociali” in Barbaresco’s local castle that he owned. Today, the cooperative brings together 51 growers farming over 100 hectares of Nebbiolo, with each family maintaining full control of their individual plots.

In the best years nine single-vineyard Riserva wines are produced from premium historic sites within the Barbaresco village boundaries, representing about 30% of the total production. The 2021 vintage is nothing short of extraordinary for Barbaresco, widely regarded as one of the finest in modern history. The wines achieve a sublime balance of rich fruit, electric freshness, and beautifully structured tannins, delivering remarkable focus, site expression, and legendary aging potential.
