Tasting note: [30ml sample] Besides the subtle russett red hue imparted by the port pipe, there's something different about the nose of this Benriach - it's a bit fumey and reticent, so hard to break down, sweetening after ample air contact. Better in the mouth where there’s a lovely purity to the sweet malt. Honeyed and warming. Nice wine input - in fact, you could mistake it for a sherry maturation. Experiment with water. 51.9% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
