Tasting note: [30ml sample] Strathmill started life as an oatmeal mill in 1823 - hence its name which means “the mill in the long valley”. It's now owned by Diageo and is a major component in the J & B and Dunhill blends. Bridging two and a half decades, this is a very elegant, very pure, understated example with sweet citrus and honey accents. Reserved at first, most of the intense sherry flavour definition develops at the finish, but just keeps going and going. Debonair and deceptively good. 48.1% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered. Very limited stocks.
