Rare Macallan Single Malts

“...Ask any distillery manager his second favourite dram and as often as not the Macallan is it.” So wrote Jim Murray.
It's a truism that resonates with a small group of 'Macallan chasers' who simply will not settle for less. Our many years of selling fine Single Malt Scotch have acquainted us with several savvy collectors who've patiently acquired bottlings from this Grand Marque over decades. Every so often limited editions and 'antiques' are re-released, some bottlings so rare that they're now difficult to procure even in larger European markets. We also regularly source duty free exclusives. So if there's a rare Macallan you're looking for that's not listed, call us on 1800 069 295 and we'll try to track it down.

Australia's largest selection of old & Rare Macallans.

Macallan built its reputation during the early 1980s and ‘90s in large part by emphasising hard line traditional practises - 100% Sherry maturation and a predominant use of a special variety of barley called “Golden Promise”, now rarely used, but highly prized by distillers for its rich, nutty flavour. Macallan last employed its original ratio of Golden Promise barley in 1993, so increasingly rare bottlings prior to this period offer purity and awe in equal measure.

While there's a premium to pay for the highest quality, price is secondary to scarcity.
