The Macallan Exceptional Single Cask 2017/ESH-11648/08 Limited Edition Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Originally available in the UK and parts of Asia, the "Exceptional Single Cask" series was launched in 2017, with all whiskies entirely matured in Sherry-seasoned casks filled between 1995 and 2004 and with age statements ranging from 12 to 22 years.

Distilled in 2004 and bottled in December 2017 after maturation in a European Oak Sherry butt, Exceptional cask No.8 was finally bottled at natural strength with a very modest outturn of just 304 bottles. Easily one of the deepest, darkest colours of any in the series so far, indicating massive sherry input. One only to sell.

Notes from Macallan... Rich dried fruit with raisins, sweet blackcurrants, vanilla and nutmeg. Dried fruit and wood spice. Long, sweet juiced fruit. 64.4% Alc./Vol.
