Champagne Egly-Ouriet

The Ambonnay based Egly-Ouriet are a reference point for grower producers in Champagne, known for their impeccable vineyard management and fastidious winemaking skills. They have been one of the driving forces behind the move to ensure grapes are harvested perfectly ripe, and with much of their production raised in oak barrels, extended aging on lees is also a feature. As a result dosage is kept low here, usually no more than 2-3g/L.
