Grace Koshu

Koshu might not be a household name, but it’s one of the most distinctive and elegant white wine grapes in the world. Indigenous to Japan and grown primarily in the shadow of Mount Fuji, Koshu produces quietly compelling wines with low alcohol, subtle aromatics, and crisp, mineral-driven palates. At their best, they offer a refreshing alternative to the likes of Albarino, Chablis, or dry Riesling, particularly for those drawn to finesse and understated structure in their whites.

Grace Wine has long been a benchmark for Koshu, both in Japan and abroad. Based in Yamanashi, the family-run estate has led the charge for quality in the region, championing single-vineyard expressions and refining the variety’s potential with a light touch in the winery. If you’ve never tried Koshu before, these wines are a great place to start.
