Tyrconnell Madeira Cask 10 Year Old Single Malt Irish Whiskey (700ml)

Pale gold with a pale straw hue. Opens shyly before presenting a beguiling bouquet of cut grass, char grilled pineapple, cocoa and vanilla. Lean and relatively dry through out, yet with good depth, the palate offers a fabulous communion of two genres, especially towards the finish when the dry, salty, nutty qualities of the wine express themselves beyond the spirit. Hints of tropical fruit at the finish add a unique twist. Deliciously different Irish. 46% Alc./Vol.

This whiskey is bright, cleanly malty, and quite fruity with a tropical accent -- peach, mango, cantaloupe, sultana, and caramelized pineapple. This single malt has a fresh, bright scent with stone fruit and vanilla. The drying, relatively hot palate skews a bit darker, deepening to cocoa, oak, almond and dried apricot, plus a smoky hint in the finish and plenty of cinnamon and clove finish.
