"A landmark bottling for Tormore". - Jim Murray

Completed in 1960, Tormore was the first new distillery to be built in Scotland in the 20th century. It has been controlled by Pernod-Ricard since they purchased Allied Domecq in 2005. According to one source, "...For many years, Tormore suffered by association with the once extremely indifferent Long John blend, but the make is clearly much improved of late."

The 16 Year Old comes aged in American oak. It showcases the distillery’s light, smooth and fruity character. Bottled without chill-filtration, Jim Murray was rapturous when he last tasted this expression. Review below. 48% Alc./Vol.
