Templeton 4 Year Old Straight Rye Whiskey (700ml)

This is a sourced whiskey, distilled at MGP in Lawrenceburg, Indiana from a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. Amber in colour and relatively subdued on the nose; dusty, dry and woody with hints of peach pudding and apple mint. Medium to full bodied, but the traditional rye attack feels slightly smothered, tempered by an underlying sweetness. The finish offers vanillan oak and muddled mint. Mellow. More like a lightly ryed Bourbon or a rye-malt. 40% Alc./Vol.
