Launched in late 2023, this limited edition was originally released via ballot only but has also been available via select duty free outlets. Innovation is a running theme for Starward. Setting their sights on Lagavulin (one of Islay’s oldest distilleries renowned for its distinctively peaty character), ex Lagavulin barrels were sourced to finish Starward’s signature red wine barrel-matured malt for a further 18 months. As you can imagine, melding Starward’s tropical notes with Lagavulin’s iconic smokiness results in an intensely flavoured, smoky treat of a dram. 48% Alc./Vol.
