Starward Dolce Single Malt Australian Whisky (500ml)

'Dolce' (the Italian word for sweet) is Starward's interpretation of dessert whisky - a melding of juicy wine and oak notes with a flourish of sweet ‘Sicilian’ flavours. Essentially, it's standard Starward matured in Australian red wine barrels, then finished in barrels that held an Australian version of a Sicilian dessert wine. Limited to 4800 bottles, the result adds marshmallow and cola notes to the core malt. Especially recommended with a cheeseboard.

Notes from Starward... NOSE \ Dried fruits, toasted marshmallows and marzipan. PALATE \ Initial sweetness on the front palate, rich dried fruits, brown sugar, cola and toasted marshmallows. FINISH \ Viscous, caramelised but enough tannin leaving a well-balanced finish. 48% Alc./Vol.
