North Star Vega 28 Year Old Cask Strength Blended Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Distilled in September 1990, the fourth limited edition Vega is a run of 800 bottles composed of 100% Speyside malts, and matured in both Spanish and American oak.

Tasting note: [15ml sample] Another stellar value Vega, with a full, malty bouquet, this time showing some kumquat and fig paste through the oak and spice. In the mouth, it's a medium dry medley of dilute honey and dried fruit flavours followed by hints of Summer pudding, vanilla and liquorice in a finely tannic finish. Pure, perfectly balanced and still full of energy, it tastes like it could handle another half decade with ease. Non chill filtered. 46.7% Alc./Vol.
