North Star Islay 8 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Tasting note: Bottled from a Bourbon hogshead and finished in two Sherry octaves. Pale straw gold. Upfront malt with a sweet, sooty edge developing to fresher notes of dried herb, menthol, lanolin and later, Ovaltine. Remarkably soft, rich and well rounded with peat-soaked orchard fruitiness and a succulent malty finish. Perfect balance. Ends with a delicious play of fruit, sweet smoke and chocolate through the lengthy aftertaste. Very moreish. 58.3% Alc./Vol. Non chill-filtered. 230 bottles.
