Mic Drop 8 Year Old Barrel Proof Straight Bourbon Whiskey (750ml)

Originally exclusive to the New York market, this 8 year-old from indie bottler, "PM Spirits" is a blend of twenty casks distilled in 2009 at MGP in Indiana. Produced from 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% barley malt and bottled at a natural strength of 56% ABV. Very limited stocks.

PM spirits was founded by Nicolas Palazzi, initially inspired by his passion for Cognac (he was raised in the region). Nicolas began sourcing, collecting, aging and blending rare casks and subsequently releasing limited bottlings in the USA. Since then, his portfolio has broadened to include other small-scale hand-crafted distillates such as Sicilian Grappas, French Eau-de-vies, Rum, Tequilas, Mezcals and Bourbons.

Tasting note: Flawless polished copper. Dense caramel and vanilla on the nose alongside drier notes of dusty oak shavings, peppercorns and minty rye. Big wood input, with a bittersweet, warming entry. Mid palate turns oily, creamy and classically Bourbon-sweet. Finishes with an intense rush of vanilla, spicy rye and minted chocolate. Nice length with the oaky sugars slowly fading. Impressive. 56% Alc./Vol. 3358 bottles.
