Tasting note: Distilled from their Best Bitter malt, Loch's eleventh release is matured in virgin, heavily toasted Hungarian oak casks. Dense vanilla laced malt dominates the nose, along side hints of balsa wood and chocolate box. An initially crisp whisky, filling out with suggestions of fruit chocolates, cream tea biscuits, (juniper?) and pepper heat. Ends gently astringent, spiced-up, vanilla rich, finally dry. 49.5% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
