Kilchoman 100% Islay 10th Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

The 100% Islay 10th Edition was distilled from Kilchoman's 2007, 2009 and 2010 Optic & Publican barley harvests before being matured in thirty nine bourbon barrels and two oloroso sherry butts for a minimum of nine years. Peated to around 20ppm, the resulting whisky marries the intense vanilla and butterscotch influence of the bourbon soaked barrels with the natural citrus sweetness and peat smoke of Kilchoman - with an added hint of body and dark fruit from the sherry butts. 12,400 bottles are available worldwide.

Notes from Kilchoman... NOSE: Floral notes with citrus sweetness, light peat smoke and apricots. PALATE: Prunes, cinnamon and cooked apples & pears with hints of fresh smoke. FINISH: Waves of mildly spiced peat smoke, lasting sweetness and rich sherry notes. 50% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
