Look at this charming old indie Bladnoch from yesteryear, imported by Laird's Club in Adelaide some time ago. Described as "an excellent pre dinner dram", the simplicity of the label makes it all the more intriguing. One only. 43% Alc./Vol.

One of six Lowland distilleries still in operation, Bladnoch is Scotland’s most southerly distillery, nestled on the green banks of the River Bladnoch from which it takes its name. Located in this beautifully remote area, the distillery has been producing off and on since 1817. It employs mainly unpeated malt from independent maltsters, though very occasionally will use medium peated malt (18ppm phenols), usually once a year. In recent times, the company operating Bladnoch went into liquidation. The distillery was subsequently purchased in 2015 by Australian entrepreneur, David Prior, quite possibly the first Australian to purchase a Scottish distillery!
