Inverarity Islay 8 Year Old Pure Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Inverarity Vaults Ltd are dedicated to sourcing, supplying and delivering fine wines and spirits from around the world to hoteliers and restaurateurs in the U.K. This is one of their own bottlings, an 8 year old vatting of Islay malts, that's just landed in Australia.

Tasting note: Pale straw colour. A curious aroma suggests cocoa and briny malt with traces of lemon butter in the background. Several minutes breathing skews the profile towards choc-fudge and vanilla. Softly textured and with good concentration, the palate offers a moderately fruity-peaty amalgam that hits the mouth like ocean spray. Not especially complex but a wonderfully fresh delivery. Finishes with the vanilla and choc fudge followed by a subtle lanolin aftertaste. 40% Alc./Vol.
