Heartwood Dregs Volume 5 Cask Strength Vatted Australian Malt Whisky (500ml)

An innovative vatting that was part of a series. The name says it all: leftover liquid after bottling is combined into one very interesting blended malt. It's believed to be a vatting of around twenty different whiskies including many Lark and Sullivans Coves, but as the label states, “there's too many to list”. According to Duckett "Complexity is too simple a word to describe the cacophony of flavours. There is something special about the DREGs, you can use it as a snow dome after a bush fire, if you don't want to drink it." Just 92 bottles made it to market in May 2021. 57.4% Alc./Vol. Non chill-filtered.
