Hazelburn 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml) - 2025 Bottling
"if you’re a fan of elegant, simple, unpeated whiskies that don’t try too hard but still deliver, you’re in for a treat." - dramface.com
Named after one of Campbeltown's lost distilleries, Hazelburn gains its delicate character from unpeated barley and is distilled following the Longrow run, three times instead of twice, as is the standard for Scotch single malt. Sometimes described as "a light triple distilled version of Springbank", consistent with previous releases, the 2025 release comes 100% matured in x-Bourbon casks. 46% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
Other reviews... I won what felt like the whisky lottery and managed to snag a bottle of this year’s Hazelburn 10 release – and it did not disappoint. From a nose that’s bright, fruity and coastal, to a palate that is smooth, creamy, and quietly confident: if you’re a fan of elegant, simple, unpeated whiskies that don’t try too hard but still deliver, you’re in for a treat. So, maybe, if you’re set on a resolution for 2026, it should be something like picking up one of these. If you can find one. - dramface.com
Notes from the producers... Nose: On the nose we have notes of Victoria sponge, honey, vanilla, gooseberries, dried apricots and a soft floral element. Palate: The palate brings notes of key lime pie, icing sugar, green grapes and fruit syrup. Finish: There is a waxiness in the finish with a note of bergamot lemon.
