With more 4-5 star user reviews around the web than most whiskies we can recall, this is one of the more notable big brand bottlings of late intended exclusively for the Duty Free market.

A Travel Retail Exclusive celebrating the only three men who have been Master Distillers at Glenlivet. Alan Winchester, the current custodian, is responsible for this no age statement release matured in three cask types: ex-sherry, first-fill and re-fill American hogsheads (or in marketing friendly parlay, 'traditional casks'). This has had more 4-5 star user reviews around the web than most whiskies we can recall, except from one 'Mr. Murray' (86.5 points). Bottled in a big value 1 litre format. Not scheduled for release in Australia.

Retasted February 2018... New packaging and a new batch; similar on the nose, but on the palate, the fruity burst is toned down a notch; the length also seems shorter. Otherwise, stylistically on par with the previous. 90 points

Previous batch tasted February 2015: Pure bright amber / polished brass. Lifted and pure orchard fruit opening sniff; a few minutes in the glass draws out dry-styled citrus marmalade, vanilla malt and light sweet spices. Comes across as a relaxed style, middle-weighted and easy going with its attractive fruity malt delivery, up until the finish which adds pepper, wood and ups the intensity. Concludes crisp and fresh with a buzzing gingery warmth amid the lingering fruitiness. Deceptively long. A dangerously drinkable evolution of delicious flavours. 40% Alc./Vol. 93 points
