Glenallachie 12 Year Old Sauternes Wine Cask Finish Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Part of the Glenallachie 'Wine Series', that sees x-Bourbon matured malts followed by an additional maturation for almost two years in Wine Barriques sourced by Master Distiller Billy Walker. Factors such as the oak species, level of toasting, and coopering of the cask each leave a unique mark on the slumbering spirit. This straw gold malt gets its elegant stone fruit, zesty flavours from Sauternes Barriques made from French oak, with a medium level of toasting. If you don't already know, Sauternes is a sweet white wine originating from the Bordeaux region of South West France. 48% Alc./Vol. 1,000 cases. Non chill filtered. Extremely limited stocks.

Notes from the producers... NOSE: Waves of heather honey, peaches and grapefruit, with hints of cinnamon and almonds. TASTE: Heather honey, treacle and pineapple, with peaches, sweet grapefruit and cinnamon.
