Glen Garioch The Renaissance First Chapter 15 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Centuries old, nowadays Glen Garioch makes largely unpeated malt for Beam Suntory. Following its reawakening in 1997, the distillery released a series of 'Chapters'. Like number 2, this is a vatting of sherry and bourbon casks. The new owners have great confidence in the quality of the malt here, with all of its production dedicated to single malt rather than blends. 12,000 bottles are available. Non chill filtered.

Other reviews... The first of four ‘chapters’ under the Renaissance banner, all of which will consist of spirit made since Glen Garioch reopened in 1997.... Ginger features on the early, perfumed nose, with soft toffee, oranges, and dates. Milk chocolate on the creamy palate, where the ginger theme continues, along with cinnamon and caramel.
