Fleurieu Distillery Signal to Noise Single Malt Australian Whisky (700ml)

Tasting note: This Apera vatting of six 100 litre barrels delivers plump aromas with lots of cream sherry uptake: Leave it in the glass and you get notes of fruit'n'nut chocolate, dried apricots and a touch of toffee apple. Beefy but balanced, it's a mouthfilling malt, typical of Fleurieu''s style. The sherry picks up at the finish, while the aftertaste is sweetly spiced with late toasty oak. In case you're wondering, the name pays tribute to a Peter Gabriel song. 51% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.

Notes from the producers... Luscious red gold hues that offer vanilla, hazelnuts, cinnamon and spices on the nose. On the palate the vanilla becomes more pronounced as tones of hazelnut praline layered with toffee shards and maple cream. Ghosting hints of allspice and cacao linger suggestively on the finish to make a delightful winter’s evening dram to indulge on in front of an open fire. Need we say more?
