Other reviews... Yes, 23 years is a long time to age bourbon. And yes, there’s plenty of oak influence. But there’s an underlying sweetness that balances the oak spice (with this particular cask; others may vary). Chewy in texture, with toffee, dates, fig cake (with nuts), barrel char, tobacco, leather, and a dusting of cocoa. - whiskyadvocate.com (Winter 2014) Reviewed by: John Hansell
...This limited-edition bottling of rare extra-aged Bourbons becomes more concentrated and rich when allowed to open up in the glass: look for coconut, vanilla, oak and a dry finish accented with cocoa and leather. Just a splash of branchwater, and this is a sipper to savor. 97 points - wineenthusiast.com
