Tasting note: A triple distilled whiskey that uses two barleys: English Two Row (peated) and locally sourced ‘Provenance’ grown in Moree. Aged in x-Chardonnay French oak. Opens with whiffs of cheese rind(?), but develops attractive notes of boiled lollies, wool shed (lanolin) and hints of peppermint. Sweet malt dominates the oily/fruity flavour rush. The finish is intense and spicy. Reminds you of 'Rock'n'rye'. The label references a poem of the same name by Edgar Allen Poe. 47% Alc./Vol.
