Cooper's Choice Spring Blossom Secret Lowland Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)
Tasting notes: [15ml sample] A doubly secretive bottling: 'Spring Blossom' was distilled at an undisclosed Lowland distillery at an undisclosed time. The whisky was matured in American oak prior to a finish in an ex-Marsala cask. The result presents off-dry aromas of fruit salad and dark chocolate, set against a mild green wood astringency. Full, creamy, oily entry with lovely mid palate weight. Gets a little prickly, smothering some of the latent fruitiness at the finish. Experiment with water to balance. 312 bottles. 57% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
Notes from the bottlers... Expect lifted floral aromatics to jump from the glass, with notes of cherry blossom and citrus. The palate has a rich brown sugar character that is complemented by spices and dried fruits. The finish is medium in length with more fruits and building spices.
