"Speyside dessert."

Tasting note: We couldn't resist this 'variety wood': following a spell in American oak, the whisky was finished in an x Banyuls barrique (French sweet white wine from the Côte Vermeille nearby the town of Banyuls-sur-Mer in the Languedoc). Creme caramel and Crunchie bar aromas follow with sweet malt and cocoa flavours, supple tannins and a lick of oak spice. Fabulous balance uncut, the finish turns thick and creamy with a touch of coffee cake, leaving a burst of dried fruits in its wake. Suitably labelled as a 'Speyside Dessert' - the notes on the bottle are pretty close to the mark. 58.5% Alc./Vol. 330 bottles. Non chill filtered.
