Tasting note: [Release 001 '25 Words'] Deep bronze. Dryish, woody aromas include barrel char, hints of anise, cinnamon and a little gingery warmth through the plummy fruitiness. 3-4 minutes in the glass accents vanilla fudge, light honey and dark chocolate. Weighty mouthfeel with suggestions of mesquite smoke(?), cocoa and dried fruits harmonising with hints of bush honey through the peppery finish. Robust, chewy malt with spicy edge. Non chill filtered. 45% Alc./Vol. 900 bottles.

Other reviews... Complex and fabulously malty. 91 points - Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2021

Notes from the bottler... Nose – Big baked stone fruits and dark vanilla, old oaked sherry & warm caramel with crisp toffee. Very old oak & sweet tobacco. Taste – Very big, round & smooth, concentrated dark malts with sherry, a hint of dark chocolate, brittle toffee & liquorish. Finish – Long, warm sherried & old oak.
