Bowmore The Devil's Casks 10 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (750ml)

The Devil's Casks is the new limited edition single malt release from Bowmore. Limited to just 6,000 bottles, it's been maturing for 10 years in first fill ex-sherry casks - unusual by Bowmore's standards.
The name derives from a local legend which has it that the devil once hid in a cask of Bowmore so as to escape from angry residents and get to the mainland. It's also said that the circular church in the village of Bowmore was so shaped to prevent the devil having any corners to hide in.

As for the whisky, reports on the blogoshere anticipate a fruity, sweet, yet well balanced cask strength bottling. Huge demand in the UK for this product saw it sell out fast. A miniscule quantity has made it to Australia. 56.9% Alc/Vol
