Lowlands, SCOTLAND
$550. 00
Bottle
$6600.00 Dozen
ABV: 43.2%

There have been several releases of 'Talia' at different ABVs both here and around the globe. This one was destined for the US market and has one of the lower ABVs in the line up. A blend of three different woods – ex Bourbon, ex Sherry and ex whisky, it's described as a 'New Oak Finish' on the label (which we assume refers to a Virgin oak finish). It comes non chill filtered at 43.2% (natural cask strength) and beautifully presented in a heavyweight decanter style bottle. Very limited stocks.

[49.2% bottling tasted]. The revival of Bladnoch Distillery in southwest Scotland continues, with the launch of 15 and 25 year old expressions to add to the NAS Samsara (reviewed winter 2016). Talia has been finished in new American oak casks. Sweet and floral on the nose, with violets, Jaffa orange, and fragrant fresh oak. Medium to full-bodied, with rich fruit notes, praline, malt, and finally, raisins and prunes. Dark oak in the long, mouth-drying finish.
