Black Gate Distillery Single Cask #BG004 Single Malt Australian Whisky (500ml)

Black Gate Distillery was opened by Brian and Genise Hollingworth in Mendooran in January 2012. The couple have traveled throughout NSW, Tasmania, Scotland and Ireland researching and gaining knowledge in the art of distilling high quality spirits and liqueurs. Black Gate Rum and Black Gate Single Malt Whisky are now on offer after maturing in ex sherry casks for two years. The distillery aims at using local grains and fruits for all of its products.

Distilled July 2012 and bottled in March 2015; Produced using a direct fired copper pot still, batch BG004 was aged for 3 years in 100 litre Sherry Casks sourced from a South Australian cooperage. 20% of the barley was peated. 50% Alc./Vol.
