Balvenie Single Barrel #5385 Traditional Oak 21 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Not to be confused with the 21 year old Port Wood release, Balvenie's single barrel series sees batches of no more than 300 hand-numbered bottles drawn from each cask, forming a limited edition never to be repeated. In this case, it was a lengthy maturation in American oak adding sweet aromas of barley sugar, vanilla infusions reminiscent of Crème Patissiere and rich creamy flavours of toffee, honey and stewed fruits finishing with orange peel and velvety muscovado sugar. A sister single barrel release received a strong review from whiskyfun.com, so expect more of the same here. 47.8% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered. Very limited stocks.
