Highlands, SCOTLAND
$109. 99
Bottle
$1319.88 Dozen
ABV: 46.8%

Bottled in April 2021, this six year old is the third batch released from Ardnamurchan. Fast sold out at major UK retailers, many Australian collectors will be keen to continue the series. As with previous editions, this 50:50 split of unpeated and peated spirit comes matured in 65% ex-bourbon casks and 35% ex-sherry casks. The total outturn for Batch 3 is 17,502 bottles worldwide.

While still a young whisky, the quality has already being established by earlier batches. If you are looking for analogous styles, Ardnamurchan is a bit different. It's been described as the 'Kilkerran of the West' or the 'Coastal Daftmill'. It's been compared to a young Ben Nevis combined with older Talisker and a touch of Northern Highlands waxiness (somewhere between Inverness and Brora). What is certain is that after years of quiet, steady production, Ardnamurchan is emerging as a spirit with charisma that's also collectible.

Notes from the producers... Nose - Mussels on a rope, burnt orange peel, glacier mints. Palate - Salted cashews and peanut brittle, fried bananas, smoldering driftwood. 46.8% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
